I think you need be a little bit hard, know when to say no in certain situations or to some peoples requests. Ultimately it's easier to say no than yes then regret it and try to retract it. For most of my life I was hard and very selfish which got me nowhere, but these last few years I've found a friend (or rather recognised Him) who is honest with me - lets me know when I've done something wrong through my own conscience - trustworthy and gives me the strength I need to know what is good for me. I ask Him to help me through every day, thank Him for my blessings, and my life has become much easier and much more rewarding. Getting on my knees felt pretty stupid at first but now it's just a part of my daily life. I realise not everyone is fortunate enough to accept their God or Higher Power but in my case my life is better, I'm happier, more contented, and therefore everyone benefits.

Yes and No. There is a balance that has to remain. for every weak to be there has to be a strong to compensate. Otherwise we would have either a bunch of cry babies that cant get food for them selves or we would have every 1 standing around telling each other what to do n nothing would get done.

No. You are confusing hard with strong and they are two different things.
People who lack empathy, compassion and guilt may be hard but cause most of the problems. Why would I want to be like them?
Constructive problem solving and emotional management are different sorts of strength. Only weak people are scared of emotions or need to hide in the safety of numbers.

Read the book of absolute truth. Get into it. It'll give you all the armor you'll ever need in this life. Otherwise, roses do a good job of being roses. So do lillies. Hard doesn't come to mind when I look at these.

Be honest, sincere, trusting and loving no matter what others do. To become "hard" is to become weak, only strong people can maintain their integrity and their selves through anything.

Sucess begins with a fellow's will, it's all about his/her state of mind. The man who wins is the man who thinks he can.

No. You have to be understanding and compassionate.

I would always put myself in the shoes of others and see how I would feel before I do anything.
