I really want deeper insight into the pro-Choice movement, I want to see past the debate and rhetoric.

What is your gender?
At what age did you become Pro-choice on abortion?
What lead you to become Pro-Choice on abortion?
What should those that are indifferent or apathic about 'choice' and anti-choice people understand about those that are Pro-Choice and pro-choice views and opinions?

You know the person likes you and last time that person made you a cake. The person's not "good-looking".

- Interested in "no" responses as well as "yes". I want to see how respondents compare to published statistics

-Does your professional work bring you in contact with people who woudl fit this category (IE criminal justice, law, social work, etc.)?
- Did the person go to trial?
-Was the false accusation malicious and deliberate? or was the verdict due to lack of evidence, inability to substantiate the account, or another non-deliberate reason (IE misidentification, circumstantial evidence, etc.)?
- Was the accusation part of a divorce or child custody settlement?

-All are encouraged to respond- this question is for data gathering percentiles, so "no" answers will get counted. I will post a tally of answers after results are in, for those who are interested. I am asking this question because I am interested in seeing how respondents compare to published statistics.

I just read a great article about a group called The Compact, that agreed not to purchase anything new during the year 2006.

One member said "It is about being aware of the excesses of consumer culture and the fact we are drawing down our resources and making people miserable around the world."

So, what ONE item would be your last new item?
(Besides food and personal care items like medicine and soap)

So, right now I am trying to recover from a break up that is breaking my heart. I feel so alone and desire the love and the love that I gave to the man that I was with. But that brings me to just trying to make myself a better person in general. I am trying to think positively about this situation and use it for the best.

So, one of the things that I have contemplated before getting back with my ex or trying to move on with someone else is getting to know who I truly am.

How does one get to know who he/she truly is? Especially, I feel that I try to learn and my views begin to change (not that I am fickle, but I know that I or anyone can be wrong about different things and that there is a gray area).

So really? What makes a person who they truly are even though a person changes and is so influenced by their environment and also genetics?

I'm pretty introverted for the most part, but I got out of a long-term relationship a few months ago, and I'd like to start seeing new people, but I get insanely nervous just talking to guys again! Even just chatting with a guy I know over AIM is enough to make me feel anxious and nauseated.. It's not the 'talking to them' part, it's the part where they say something similiar to "we should hang out some time", and I don't want them to think I don't like them, but I don't really want to hang out with them anytime soon, even if I do like them in general.

I think I'm worried about what guys would expect from the "hanging out" part. It's weird, because I'm friends with this guy on a casual basis, and without me thinking that he wants a relationship of some kind, I don't think I'd be nervous. I guess I'm just waiting for things in my life to go back to normal, or maybe I'm making excuses for myself to avoid talking to a really nice guy, haha. Man, I suck.

Social workers are the go between. They go between the people who are in need and the people who have the resources to attempt, often unsuccessfully or with minimal results, to sustain livelihoods at a level where often less than basic needs are even met.
