Some have argued that Western Canada feels a sense of isolation from the Eastern Federal government and has more in common both economically and culturally with the United States. That being said, what are some thoughts on the idea of Alberta and British Columbia being annexed by the United States?

So minimum wage laws require businesses to pay employees more money in an attempt to help out the workers. Then the business might hire fewer employees or increase prices on their product, which will cost the workers more money anyway. It's suppose to improve the poverty rate, but how is increasing unemployment helping with that?

If you don't know what it is, it is a welfare/taxation system wherein the government is in no way responsible for welfare and social services directly but instead allows for individuals to write everything off of their tax returns. It basically privatizes everything from education to disability services in to a competitive, non-bureaucratic free market and leaves all the spending up to the individual.

I myself am in a wheelchair and can not express how crappy government agencies are with providing things etc. what with all the red tape. Sometimes it'd just seem like it'd be easier for me to go out and buy what I need and somehow charge it on a magical government credit card.

So would a system like this work? I understand it leaves more room for tax fraud but that's nothin' good ol' coercion can't solve.

I read that anything below 2.1 births per woman means that the population of a country is shrinking. Apparently, all of Europe have shrinking populations (not counting immigration). France has an average of 1.94 births per wormen, Germany has an average of 1.36, while the EU average is 1.52.

Main Points: I. How everyone benefits by increasing the minimum wage in one way or another. II. How families making minimum wage supports their family needs; and the students who can’t afford college because of minimum wage. III. Why we should raise minimum wage and include benefits. Introduction Ever heard the saying, “The rich are getting richer, and the poor are getting poorer”. The main reason behind this is the minimum wage. It should be increased for many reasons: it would help both the poor and the wealthy; it would help college student and low income families with their needs. The price is rising for everything, the rich are able to afford it, since the minimum wage is so low some people can't afford to get things that they need for survival. The only way low income families
