No.

Currency is a simply of means of exchange. There have been different means of change before there was paper & coin. There will different means of exchange afterwards. This is because no human is ever completely self-sufficient. Besides being social creatures, we also have different needs and abilities. Therefore we will always need to buy (or trade or barter or whatever) various goods and services that we cannot provide or manufacture for ourselves.

Striving for perfection is a completely separate matter. It has nothing whatsoever to do with whether currency exists or not. Most people won't strive for perfection because either a) they are lazy and happy with the status quo, or b) they are stubborn and unwilling to listen to those who could help them, or show them the way. A world without currency would affect neither of these character traits. People would still be lazy and stubborn, they'd just be lazy or stubborn without money.

A world without currency? You mean barter? That is lame. Currency is a tool, it was invented because it is more efficient than bartering. The only way we can get rid of currency is if we can ditch capitalism, and that probably ain't happening soon. Human race as a whole isn't striving for perfection anymore, we're just concerned with the blingity bling. What's in it for me? The question is, were we ever? IMHO, no, not really, it was just a smokescreen. We'll evolve but it won't necessarily be in a good way.

You don't have to imagine too hard. The world had no currency until about 3,000 years ago. So you can just look at history to see what a Utopia the world was without currency. Let's see, extreme poverty, deprivation, and literacy were nearly 100% universal, there was no medicine or health care that actually worked at all. Life was cheap, people died young of disease or violence, few babies would survive to adulthood....

I can't see the human race striving for perfection, but I can see a world of bartering rather than using currency.

thats a pretty utopian and idealistic idea there bud. nice to think about but aint how the universe works. its all about chaos theory and the monkeysphere. i suggest you read up on both of those subjects. sooner or later well reach that level but its definitely not in reach within the next millenium or two. we have plenty of more wars to fight and evolve more before then.

Absolutely not. Greed has nothing to do with currency.
