Which is more important? Keeping your family traditions or giving your children a better life economically?

Both are important.......family traditions and family. I'll move so that my kids can have a better life but then I can always bring them to the hometown during vacations so that they dont lose touch with their roots.
Moreover, life is about growing. This home, hometown.......all are in the mind. Take a bigger pic . The whole world belongs to you and you just have one life to explore it & if you are getting the opportunity then dont be doubtful about it.........go & grab it. It wont knock twice :)
Enjoy the privilege...........

Don't worry about your Hometown, it will always be there. It will change but it will still be your hometown. Your family traditions are obviously not giving you and your family the financial support that you need. You speak of family traditions, you can move anywhere and still hold on to your traditions. Your children come first.

you can still keep your family traditions while moving away. are you talking about a foreign country? i live in nyc and can't tell you how much i have learned from being surrounded by culture and people with a zest for life and a drive for success.

success does not have to be financial, but maybe their dreams can be better realized when they are exposed to more choices. below is a quote from derrick brooks of the tampa bay bucs football team. he started a program to get underpriveledged kids out of their element to show them they do have choices...
"It's about giving them opportunities and opening windows. You never know how bright the lamp is going to be turned on, and I'm trying to make it as bright as it can be for these kids."

sounds like you are a caring parent. a child is a blank canvas and the parent is the artist. throw some color on that canvas!

The only way to know is to leave. If you decide it is not worth it you can go home again. If you stay home you will always wonder whether you should have left. A large percentage of the people who immigrated to the US a hundred yeas ago went back to where they came from. You have to assume that what you value, your children will also, if you make an informed decision.

i stay 30 minutes faraway from my mum and dad, i'm 23 have been given married and moved out . i would be unable to think of shifting to any extent further i see them the different day I even have probability.and that i omit residing with them, so i will think of the type you sense or your mum and dad sense. you ought to invite your mum and dad and acquaintances type your place of origin the different month so which you will no longer sense to a ways away.

I would much rather leave my home town even if I enjoy it. FIrst of all I am not sure I could stand livin near my parents. second of all It is alot better to travel around and find other places you like, and if none of them meet your standerd you could allways jsut go back home.
