The legal market, and the black market dual economies, it occurs in all nations in the world. Mexico alone 30% of the economic output not accounted for in goverment figures. Another example of ecomonic output is me getting a job with a employer paying cash under the table, and the goverment losses out on taxpayments.

Dual economy refers to the relation the U.S. has with China. Two economic entity that is so entertwined that it can't survive with out each other. American company is so profitable because they use cheap Chinese labor. On the other hand China requires American designs and American customers. It is not an accurate view though, but just a simplified model that economist try to use to convince others, like the U.S. congress, that at the current state, if we mess with China, It will hurt us as well.
