1- Do you belong to the group that believes the differences are due to sexism, hence political lobbying is needed?

2- Do you belong to the group who think sexist discrimination has little to do with it, likes to study the reasons why women are behind, to personally break them?

3- Or do you belong to a third, unmentioned category?

I know the gap is discussed all the time. I'm curious how you think we need to go about making changes?

If you don't believe any differences exist at all, don't bother.

What causes a person to have emotional detachment issues? My boyfriend has no interest in having an emotional connection with me and I've been nothing but good to him, so it's not like he has a reason to be this way. He is like a robot and I'm starting to believe that he doesn't have a soul or a conscience. He doesn't seem to have feelings like normal people do, at least towards me.

His parents seem like nice, normal people and he grew up with 2 sisters (no brothers), so I can't understand why he is the way he is.

I should note that he seems to have emotional closeness with his family and friends, just not with me. I don't understand. It's so easy to put the blame on myself, like I must not be good enough...but in reality, I know it's his problem.

What causes this and what can I do? I've tried to talk to him about it but he tells me he doesn't know what I'm talking about and that I've got a messed up perception of reality. Any advice appreciated. Thanks.

with you, but you dont no who they are or whos doing it ?

i ask this because im a borderline personality disorderer sufferer....i live a lonely isolated life....in a small one bedroomed flat on sickness benifit..i own no posessions except an old computer...i have no carpets on my floor even.

i can get very paranoid which i accept.

through this site, i made quite a few contacts and added them to my yahoo messenger.....but all of a sudden and for a while now....theyve stopped contacting me...iming me on yahoo messenger....and even stopped answering my questions.

im worried theyve been influenced not to contact me anymore or not to get involved with me..by conspirators unknown to me..

i swear on the almighty i feel so enraged about this possibility that i want to find whos responsible, and deal with them severley..
ive been rejected all my life and never been in any relationships because of my disorder.

so the notion that people who i make contact with on here are being influenced

i had such a vivid dream last night. it began with 2 of my closest friends writing their names on an old wall in the middle of the woods. suddenly their two partners came and started behaving strangely. they begin to realise the wall was sacred and then all of a sudden my dream goes to one of my friends boyfriends. he starts cutting his hands with a pair of scissors and it seems as though he cant stop. it changes from here and i am working in some sort of clapped out grocery store, my friends boyfriend walks in and starts snipping his hands in front of me. the thing is the snipping noise was so loud- i can still hear it now when i think about it

as you can imagine the dream scared the hell out of me.

can anyone tell me what this means?

I had a dream that i died. I didnt know i was dead until i was talking to my friends daughter and the other kids where wondering who she was talking to (they couldn't see me. Then I had a flash back I went to heaven and asked god to send me back so i could try to tell my friend that heaven and hell are real and he did. What is weird is that in my dream my family (who are christians) were able to see and talk to me but my friend was not. My friends daughter was also able to see me as well. . Also in my dream my friend and his daughter where about 2 or 3 years older but my family remained the same age. I also talked to one of my friends buddys that i dont know and he told me how i could get through to him. I grab my friends arm and yelled something then he turned my way but then i woke up. Whats also kinda weird is that i woke up on my back with my hand folded on my chest like a person in a casket. This is the strangest most vivid dream i have had. Can anyone translate dreams?

I am a good looking female, I'm very shy and I don't smile much. These 3 things have really screwed up peoples perception of me.

I don't smile much, not because I'm miserable or anything.... But its mostly due to nerves. I feel uncomfortable around new people, I'm still not really sure why. But this makes me come off like I'm very stuck on myself and unfriendly which is actually far from the truth once you get to know me. I feel so rude, because sometimes people will actually look right at me and smile and I just stare and them because I'm too nervous to smile back. I know it sounds very strange, but it actually happens.

How can I fix this problem? Has anyone else experienced the same kind of thing? I used to have a lot of friends, and I was extremely confident in social situations and it just flowed through me. But now I'm having to work my way to get back up there. Any advice would be helpful, thank you :)
