When your ill/sick whatever, do you go through the delema of deciding if your too sick to work? "I do feel crapy but I can work through it." "I want to go to work but I don't want to risk getting someone else sick." "I really need to work I can't afford to miss any days." Yeah I'm sick at the moment and I don't think anyone really likes being sick. What I also don't like is going through that whole conflict a few hours before I work trying to decide if I should go in or call out. I'm I alone on this? How do you take it?

I am just a really lucky guy. I am a sophomore in high school and everything that could possibly go my way (and even more) has. If i forget to do homework, the teacher will decide to postpone the due date. If I guess an answer on a test, its normally right. I had a final against a strong team, and they pulled out at the last second due to religious reasons. I am also lucky enough to have a great friend I can talk to. Problem is, I dont think I deserve this. There are people who i know that could really use some luck now and then. Anyone know how I could possibly help them attain some luck on their own, or maybe just use my luck to help them out in general. Thanks.

Some Scientific Research seems to indicate that it does, but it's not about *that* size - it's about Height!

Is height a factor for you in selecting a partner, Does Size Matter?

Article follows:

British scientists have come up with an explanation for why most men are taller than women.

They say taller men are more sexually attractive and are more likely to father children.

Men, though, prefer shorter women, so the two sexes are unlikely ever to end up the same height over the course of evolution.

In choosing a husband, size matters

Daniel Nettle, Open University
"It seems that tall men and petite women are favoured in evolutionary terms, even in a modern population, so the height difference between men and women is unlikely to disappear," says Daniel Nettle of the Open University.

The verdict that size matters is based on a study of 10,000 people born in the UK in a single week in March 1958.

Okay, before people read this question is not about me asking people weather im retarted or need proffesional help, its just sort of a habit of myn. Well, I dont really know how to explain this, but when I think of the past I get very emotional sometimes, I have an excellent memory and remember many things that happend to me when I was 4 or 5 or almost any age!I have a tendency to like to think about the past, and sometimes it gives me a very warm feeling, like I wish I could go back there and enjoy life like that, like back when I was 7 I remember playing in the sunshine, with my cousins at my grandmas house, and it was a very sunny day. When I think about those childhood memories with me and my family I go "wow", I can't believe how different life is now, or how much things have changed, memories are very powerful and dear to me. What exactly am i feeling? Does anyone else feel this? Is it normal to feel this way?

I have known her husband for much longer time. we have known each other for more than 15 years. We were very close friend. After he sexually assaulted me, I then understood that he had been mentally abusing me. Before, I only felt controled, hurt, humiliated, but he argued that he did not do it on purpose or was trying to teach a friend. when the assault happened, i knew those were just excuses and lie.

i told his wife. she ignored me and got even closer to him.
i cannot get the picture. I trusted that my friend was manipulating her as well. An abuser was so good at playing emotion.

my feeling is now so complicated

Ok, for an example today I came home from work and I always check my car before I walk away so I’m looking at it and something doesn't seem right. So I look closer and there it was!!!! A dent in my front grill that someone back up into me. (I have a 94 Nissian Altima so my grill is plastic and they hit it so hard that it bent in and its crack) If you have any suggestions on how to fix it I would appreciate it. I was so pissed off!!! I didn't talk to anyone and if I was in the car when that happened I swear I would of went to jail that day. I really do get fired up real fast in a quick sec and I just want to know if you have any techniques or suggestions on how to calm down and just learn how to let some things roll off your back? And oh yeah!!! If that would have happened to your car how would you deal with it?

Honestly I know the answer but i would like to see other thoughts about this. Just because im muslim why does everyone assume you are a terrorist? Or just because you where a hijab you are under oppression? Why cant we give people a chance to show their true colors before we judge them? I try to give everyone time to show themselves before i label them. I read a few questions and the saddened me. Are all ______ mean? Why would you base a judgement on a WHOLE GROUP just because of a few actions? There is good and bad in everyone. Bad christians, muslims, jews, buddhists, black, white, mexican, asian, whatever. SORRY FOR WRITING LOTS OF STUFF BUT I HAD TO ASK! ITS AN OPINNON SO SPEAK YOUR MIND!

I was listening to a talkback radio show this morning, and the hosts were discussing how materialistic some women can be when it comes to picking men, while men "just look for one thing - a pulse." They invited both genders to call in and ask if they have "lists" and what is on the list. Here's what one girl said:

- he must have a mobile, and not a "brick" phone
- he must have a car that's bought post 1990
- wage is over 60K per year
- young and model looks.

And it just HIT me how women like her just results in generalisations that all women are golddiggers! Its not feminists who give women a bad name - feminists are aggressive but intelligent and willing to stand up to challenges.

Its these shallow women who just think about MONEY and materalistics! If anything, feminists give women a standing in the world - that not all of us are golddigging airheads, but people with a brain.

Your thoughts?

I try very hard in school. I do. And with all of the studying I do I should be getting an A in every single one of my classes. (Okay I'm not a nerd, alright? Haha just a hard worker..) But I don't. And some people do, even though they smoke pot or have sex before school or whatever. That isn't fair!! Why should they be naturally smart, and they don't even try? How does that make sense? I thought God made us all equal? Why do I feel so stupid when I get a B- test back and the pothead next to me gets an A and didn't even study for the exam? I think I was born stupid. Or at least not book smart. Is that possible?

If a person can't pay his bills, they end up on the street, but what happens when a nation can't pay its bills?

I have heard of some horror stories of when Russia went under: Some had to sell everything they had, including their bodies, just to buy food.

"Even if you've escaped the recent housing and credit crunches and are coping with rising fuel prices, you may still be headed for economic misery, along with the rest of the country. ..."
