can travelling a lot really change a person? what if that person is lack of self-confidence, very shy, very quiet, but outdoors kind of person, and is not like to get around with people? can he change into the opposite by only travelling to different countries?

if my personality was formed and determined by my upbringing and social surroundings. if i learned how to act and to talk from observing others and learning from them. then do i really have a personality? am i really an individual?? or am i just the creation of a diverse society and culture that has produced many like me and continues to do so? if a baby grew up never having seen a person, would it act like one? would it smile when it was pleased or cry when it's sad? or would it stay animalistic and never be a really human? if we grew without society then would we find what we really are?

We hyphenated our names after marriage. My wife just had make a copy of the marriage license, and get new social security cards, driver's license, etc. Her name was legally changed.

For me to do it, I was going to have to go before a judge, swear that I wasn't changing my name to flee my creditors or avoid prosecution. Then I would have had to take out an ad in the public notices section of the local newspaper, go back before the judge, pay a fee, and then my name would be changed. Then I would have had to get new paperwork, etc.

So I just use my hyphenated name as an alias.

I been scared of elephants (yes elephants since i was 8 and saw a show about an elephant going on a rampage at a circus. i used to also think about if a bear or a lion got loose in the town. I used to some times have dreams about theese situations when i was young........The problem is, im an adult now and in the past year i had about 10 dreams about some animal on the loose and me and my family are trying to hide or out run the animal. Its been happening so often latly. I once a month at least. And to be frank,......i wake up with a pounding heart. it still scares me. First i need to know is this normal? And why does it happen so much now? Lastly is there anyway to stop the dreams? I feel so stupid but its so out of control.

Think about it. Our young men are under a constant barrage of criticism from feminists for being "too male". They are told they are all potential wife-beaters, etc. As a result, the self image of the average young male is damaged which is a loss to society as a whole.

Ok, last friday I knew this espectacular blonde taller than me, from my age who com as an exchange student (I work at a university in my country) that day we go out at night and we was dancing salsa. Finally we was talking a lot and kissing passionately, and then dancing romantically until the end of the night. I invite her to my flat but she said no. Well, I didn´t care, it was a wonderful night for us anyway and I was just thinking on her. All of this was very beautiful and very surprising for a day. But some days later she said me that she repents of what happened and that she kissed me cause the drinks. She broke my heart with that. I don´t know what happened to her and I don´t know what to do. We talk politely but she don´t call me and she just end the call phone very quikly when I call her.

especially in boys under the age of 13? I was just reading over some statistics and frankly am quite shocked. Do you think this is environmental or educators are just looking to label children as difficult? By the way girls have this as well but at a substantially lower rate. Does anyone else find this a concern in terms of problems in later years? It certainly is considered a risk factor.

In the dream I walked up to some pearly gates. The ground was covered with a fog like mist. The gates were partially open so I walked through and immediately came across a colored throne made of white rock. The color of the rock was of purest snow. A cloaked figure walked out from behind the throne and beckoned me to come closer. He started ranting proudly that he tricked everyone into believing that God casted him out of heaven. He said God is dead and that there is no hell but only his domain, heaven. He said his name was Lucifer and jesteringly asked me why people would call him the king of deceit if he truly wasn't.

It was pretty freaky. Is this a vision?

Since last 10 days or so i've been wondering if its better to study on laptop or the books and notebooks. Laptop won yesterday i studied on the laptop for tomorrow's test. What i saw in my dream was that we had our test and i couldn't start the last minute revision at all. Something or the else started interfering.Like i saw my cousin come to my college for tournament so i had to talk to him. Then suddenly my mom gave me new books and cd-roms that came along and asked what will i prefer to study from? I chose the cd roms. But yet again i couldn't start studying a monkey started running after me copying me throughout. At this time in real life my alarm went off for the 4th time i suppose but i couldn't wake up. So in the dream i tried to video tape the monkey while running so i could show it to my friends. I couldn't do that too.It was all black and white. Suddenly i was in my room i selected exit in a game or whatever which had other options like play and math(i don't even have it as a subject). Then i look at my backpack and take out the books. Shut down my laptop. And then i woke up with a heavy head and vertigo like feeling. It seems kind of clear but who is trying to communicate with me through dreams or is it just another stupid dream

In my dream I was walking in my room and I saw a tall strange looking man sitting on my bad, he had pale skin and glyphs and markings all over his body, satanic symbols and such. He said "It's your time, Im coming for you" and opened one of those weird hell portals with screaming of people in them (The ones exactly in The collector to describe properly), and then I suddenly woke up. I was so damn scared, and I didn't go back to sleep that night so I wudn't have that dream again. Any Feedback?

I do realize that magazines ads make women look like dead stick bugs and that they make girls throw up and feel bad about themselves. However shouldn't people just get over it rather than complaining about it. As hard as it is to believe some girls actually do look like that and there is nothing you can do to shelter young girls from seeing them and feeling like crap so why do we bother trying to change the way women look in movies, magazines, cartoons and dolls?

You know, the one with Queen Latifah and she is given one month to live so she lives it up? And it got me thinking...

What would you do if you found out you only had one month to live?
Do you think you would laugh more, love more, and quit being so afraid?

I'm sure this question has been asked before. But really think about it.
What would you take a chance on doing that you wouldn't think you'd ever do? And why would it take you dying to do it?

Well im a suicidal person, always have been. But lately ive been falling under really hard. Im in college again after a year after being kicked out of school for poor grades. Now im in a community college. Ive just been depressed. Theres nothing that will make me happy that i have right now. And everything i want i cant get. My luck is just terrible right now. Im going to school full time and i cant get a job to make money. I need a new car it would make me really happy since my old one barely drives... I need a mazda 3! I need a girlfriend, I need to lose my virginity, I need to grow a lil taller, All these things i feel would make me happy i cant get... So whats the point in living. I would imagine the whole point in living is to get or do things that make you happy right. I cant stop thinking about just ending it all... I dont see any happiness in sight. I spend my whole day confused and tired from trying to mask my depression from the classmates, professors, and family. Ima do it!
