can travelling a lot really change a person? what if that person is lack of self-confidence, very shy, very quiet, but outdoors kind of person, and is not like to get around with people? can he change into the opposite by only travelling to different countries?

well i'm guessing that you're talking about yourself. i understand, i'm pretty shy too. traveling can be a great experience, you should try it. :] but what really changes people is their experiences. try doing some new things, take some risks. open up to a totally random new person, ask out the girl at the bar, climb the mountain. lol. being confident is a thing you have to decide on every day. just try to stop taking the easy way out. just decided that YOU are your favorite person, and that's all you really need.

well... travelling alone cant change a person. first you need to uplift yourself and make a pledge to yourself that you will change... that is only if you want to. Read books on self development. I'd suggest Mega living and the monk who sold his ferrari by Robin Sharma.

If you're shy, practising contact with other people is the best way to get over it. As long as you make a point of staying in contact with other people while you travel, talking to (safe) people when you meet them, you'll get over your shyness. It does, however, take persistence and time.

I don't think you become your opposite, but if you want to be a little more social, it is certainly possible. It would require you reaching out a little. Don't make a big deal about it. And, if you travel alone, it is possible people will reach out to you more as long as you respond to them.
