Absolutely! But now I also get annoyed. I believe in good manners and go to great lengths not to hurt anyone's feelings but people with verbal diarrhea are either extremely insensitive and selfish or completely unobservant. They are so focussed on themselves that as long as they have an audience they don't care how much that audience suffers. I'm now quite abrupt with such people. Life is too short.

Lucky you, you actually get privacy in the washroom, lol. My mother whenever I visit her, she constantly talks and follows me throughout the house. Don't get me wrong, I love my mother and reality is that I like to spend the time with her because life is so unpredictable and no one knows when we will be gone, but it does get cluster phobic when your trying to close the door, and your mom is there trying to have a conversation with you. I find it very draining considering i'm majoring in psychology. I guess it might be a mother thing!

Sometimes, but usually I tune them out and then I keep saying something inocuous like, "That's the way it is" or "Isn't that something, uh-huh." Eventually they get the measure. When I pass out, or start hummig show tunes, they definitely get the message. Then I end it by saying, "I'll try to remember that."
