Doc Rudy: you said I worded this question the way I did in order to "bash men"- where in this question do you see ANYTHING about "men"? I think it's kind of ironic that you should even feel this way- after all, you and your posse regularly post whatever news stories you can find that pertain to women as being violent criminals- and then proceed to bash women from there. My question is not sexist, nor have any of the answers that people have given been "sexist" at all- (up until YOURS, that is.) In your past posts you bash me for having a "bleeding heart" when it comes to the abused...now you claim I care nothing for victims. Which is it?

Doc Rudy: I by no means "hate men." I hate violence. I especially hate violence against children. I cannot imagine the horror those kids (and others like them) have gone through.

To all of you: what things can we do as parents and citizens to best protect our young?

I'm sitting here with my jaw hanging open.....
Little children need to be protected, that's all there is to it. It only takes a minute for some sicko to steal away your baby girl and do this to her - and that sicko could be a family member or someone you trust. Yet another reason why children need involved parents! This could happen to anyone, all we can do is try to keep them safe as long as we can.

These men are sickos who should be locked up forever.
Yet I see I what you are trying to pull and I will call you on it. Feminists do this often when they use horrific rape stories to counter any mention of false accusations. They use an emotional angle that many people fall for.
This is a sad attempt to demonize the male gender by showing the worst of the worst. You said you were not trying to bring up the fact that these abominations were men. Yet you picked these two stories and put them in the gender forum, thus making it a gender issue.
If you meant this the way you said, you would have put this in a law or crime forum.

I think that any crime especially one involving a child is horrendous. As a parent my heart goes out to the mother and father. I can't imagine the pain of losing a child in such a monstrous way. That poor little darling.

I just can't imagine what it must have been like to walk into that garage...it makes me feel sick to my stomach. And I've been watching the coverage about the second link...no child should suffer so...it's so horrifying.
Why is it that when anti-feminists post stories about the heinous crimes women commit, it's "raising awareness," but when a question is posted about crimes men commit, it's "male-bashing" and misandry?

This is absolutely horrible and disgusting. Imagine being the cop and trying to restrain yourself, from wanting to hurt him.
But to answer your question:
- 90% of all homeless and runaway children are from fatherless homes.
85% of all children that exhibit behavioral disorders come from fatherless homes.
[Center for Disease Control]
- 80% of rapists motivated with displaced anger come from fatherless homes.
[Criminal Justice and Behavior, Vol. 14 p. 403-26]
- Divorce rates over 50%
- 50% of mothers see no value in the fathers continued contact with his children.
["Surviving the Breakup" by Joan Berlin Kelly]
- 40% of mothers reported that they had interfered with the fathers visitation to punish their ex-spouse.
["Frequency of Visitation" by Sanford Braver, American Journal of Orthopsychiatry]

Dear God... Why don't let the parents of these poor babies publicly castrate responsible bastards? And if they bleed to death as a result, maybe... just maybe the world would be for a second exactly where it should be. Why are we giving these animals human treatment, after those inhuman crimes they have committed against innocent children? Maybe if there was no mercy for the criminals, there would be less crime committed against innocent babies...

These men should be executed after they are convicted. It makes me mad when I see child abuse/murder. It does give me the sense that the world is going to hell in a hand basket. When you have people like OJ, Michael Jackson, Mary Winkler, and Phil Spector getting away with murder that makes me mad too.

Let's face it Tera. This question was an excuse to man bash. We both know it so why hide it. It was worded in a way as to solicit attacks on the (male) perpetrators. There was no other issue up for discussion here. Honestly, I doubt you care about the victims of these murders as much as you do about spreading hatred for men.
No doubt you'll give best answer to the most misandrist man-hating answer as usual, of course.
EDIT: You're lying Tera. Explain to me what this is doing in the GWS section. If what you are saying is true there is no reason. If this post is to obtain answers on how to 'protect the young', you've posted it in the wrong category. Furthermore, when people post questions on here regarding things that women have done, it is usually because people either think it never happens (ie. thanks to misandrists like you making as big a fuss out of men doing this sort of thing as possible in order to cast violence as a male trait), or because she got away with it. You think these guys are going to get away with it and not have the book thrown at them?

I cannot begin to conceive how that mother must have felt when she walked into the garage . . . .
And the little girl in the second story - how long will it take her to heal from her ordeal?
No punishment is too cruel for these a**holes.
