I ask this Question out of confusion! You see, all the information I have gathered thus far, seems to sum up "Mana" as being "spititual power". Anyway, my teacher gave me a test last week and one of the Q? were: What is Mana? And so I answerd : Spiritual power.
When I recieved my graded test back(I recieved a 96%) My teacher deducted points for the aforementioned Q&A, and wrote underneath my answer the following: "A strong fertility persona"
So baSICALLY, iM TRYING TO DETERMINE, or understand this concept better, or figure out if my teacher is bugging out (mistaken). So any insight on this issue will be greatly appreciated,TX.

This past year or so, I have had a few occasions where I would hear my name being said in my head. I was at work one time and heard some one say, "Anna". I was just walking down a hallway. I turned and no one was there. Then it happened a few seconds later. I noticed that they sound sort of like an echo.
It happened once again last night when I was lying in bed trying to fall asleep. The only thing that i hear is, "Anna". There is no tone to the voice at all. No anger, happiness... no expression.
Also at times I can hear conversations. They are jumbled, like many conversations at once with maybe 5-6 people. Does anyone know what this means?

I'm looking for hynotherapy places in Michigan, preferably close in Lansing, maybe someone who specializes in getting rid of fears.

I'm also looking for testimonials to the effect of hypnotherapy. After an incident on a plane a few years back, I'm terrified of flying, to the point where I cry thinking about it.

Has anyone had hypnotherapy for a problem like this and did it work?

In books and movies there are main characters, and then everyone else in the story. In the Bible, a great deal is told about some people's lives, and nothing about others, like Daniel. I wonder if he knew his life would be regarded as important or not at the time? I used to think I would be a main character in the history of this world in some way. Now it seems more like I'm a bit player or an extra on the set. Do main characters know they are, or would that be arrogant on their part?

I am currently a senior to be in high school, so as of right now, I plan on going to a college/university and extending my education. This way, I will be able to acquire a higher paying job (don't get me wrong, money is not everything, but the price of living is on the rise) to support myself and to live happily; as long as my family and myself are happy and healthy though, I'm good!

Anyhow, how do YOU prepare on handling the increasing cost of living (inflation)?

I'm just asking. I've watched old movies with aliens who have psychic powers and all this stuff. I would think there is a slight chance. We still have SO MUCH to learn about the human brain...

What is it about quiet people that you find intimidating and/or unlikeable? One of the most common complaints that I've heard is that more outgoing people can't tell what quiet people are thinking, and they're afraid that the quiet people are assessing them and making plans of some kind. As a quiet person myself (by choice, most of the time), I can tell you that this is not the case. We're not out to get you, nor are we silently sitting there and judging you.

Thoughts?

I think everyone has a positive and negative financial tally throughout their lives. If I am a 3 million dollar man (5000 a month salary for 50 working years), When I lose 5000 dollars, i think of it as my duty to work one extra month or one month of unpaid work. If anyone can understand what I mean by these stupid stuff, please give me a good psychological advice. I don't want to end up working unpaid through the rest of my life. I know I am bad at games. But I get a lot of energy and feelings of happiness when I win.

I mean, let's put aside whether or not you believe in evolution; if you take biology 101 or just read a layman's explanation, it should become clear that in no way is it ever insinuated that humans evolved from the other primates in existence today. Why is this such a common fallacy?

Several anti-abortion groups have planned a three-day celebration to be held in Milwaukee, WI, this weekend (http://www.ezekielsystems.com/paulhillmemorial/ ) to "honor" Paul Jennings Hill, "an anti-abortion activist and terrorist connected to the Army of God, who was convicted of the murders of physician John Britton and his clinic escort, James Barrett, outside a Pensacola, Florida abortion clinic on July 29, 1994. In addition to the two murders, Hill seriously wounded Barrett's wife. Sentenced to the death penalty under Florida law, Hill died by lethal injection" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paul_Jennings_Hill ). Paul Hill Days is to include an actual *reenactment* of the murder and is being sponsored by the Paul Hill Memorial organization, Children Need Heroes, Street Preach, and Pro-Life Virginia. It has even been condemned (though not vocally) by Wisconsin Right to Life (http://www.wrtl.org/News07/070207.pdf ).

I've battled with many psychological ailments throughout my life. I have a problem committing to things because other events in my life prohibit me. I've always been distracted by significant others or friends. I'm smart and very capable of success...but as soon as I'm in a relationship I become disabled at bettering myself. I get panicky not being around my partners a majority of the time...I think it's because I need to concentrate on too many aspects of my life. My partner is of first importance to me. is it wrong to feel like this?
is there anyway at all to be consumed by my relationship but at the same time be able to be successful...??
or should i just give up and not care about ever accomplishing a trade or specialty?

Ok, the other night I had a dream that bad things kept happening to me.

First, I was at my old house, and I was sitting in the front yard, and huge black bears started roaming through the road in front of my house, then they started coming after me, and I got up and ran.

Then it flashed to a different scene, where I was in the basement of my old house, and water started rising from the floor, causing a flood. I remember in my dream I felt so scared, frantic.

Then again, it flashed to another scene. I was sitting in a truck in my front yard, and all of a sudden, it was like a mac truck hit us, and the truck and me inside it started flying wildly across the street into the trees in my neighbors yard.

I woke up, and the dream made me feel really weird. Does anybody have an explanation, opinion, or thoughts on this?

I asked a buddhist riend of mine: if someone had a gun at your head and was threatening to pull the trigger - what would you do?
He said: I don't know now. I'll have to wait til then.
He says its related to Karma but COME ON!

ok i'm a 15 yr old who's really got no idea where her life is going. i think i was depressed during the past fall/winter, and i don't know why. now i am feeling better, but i tend to be very solitary now, like i really won't show much affection (like hugs) towards my parents or younger sister, and i feel horrible about it, but it just doesn't feel natural.
i don't mean to sound like a fckd up mental case here, but what is this??
and i've been told i don't share myself with others enough, like i'm very good at masking emotions.
my mother recently has been taking trips to care for her mother, spending a week away, then coming back for the weekend, then leave again and my dad's at work all day,and my younger sister currently is at a sleepaway camp for two weeks, so i'm alone.the scary part is,i think i like it better that way. i would NEVER tell anyone this and most people think we have a perfect family.
i don't want to hurt any of them, but i can't wait for college to get away, twistedly
