What is it about quiet people that you find intimidating and/or unlikeable? One of the most common complaints that I've heard is that more outgoing people can't tell what quiet people are thinking, and they're afraid that the quiet people are assessing them and making plans of some kind. As a quiet person myself (by choice, most of the time), I can tell you that this is not the case. We're not out to get you, nor are we silently sitting there and judging you.

It's fine to be quiet if that's who you are. Just don't be anti-social. I'm with you! I'm quiet, I only talk if I have something I really need to say, I don't see any reason for rambling on and on about nothing important just for the sake of talking. It really pisses me of though when my gf constantly asks me "what's wrong" just because I'm not talking.

Physical appearance is another major factor in the opinions people may have of a quiet person. A very physically attractive person who is also very quiet might be seen as stuck up or arrogant, while a physically unattractive person might be seen as depressed, lonely and shy. They're assumptions many people can't help but make, and they're often incorrect.

i'm not uneasy or intimidated by quiet people being one myself.....but for those who are....i think it's because of their/our "fear of the unknown"....i mean, if you're quiet, they wouldn't know what you're thinking, right? so their minds probably go to overdrive and form assumptions of their own...

well im a shy, quiet person, but i think its becuz they dnt say anythgin when people make decisions on wat to do to have fun.
thats kinda anoysoy me because mi best freind always says "ur boring and u never wanna do anything" and then leaves to go o somethinw. mi sister, it pisses me off. i cant help it if im too shy to do differnt things
