National Geographic had an article about the "Chalk man" or the "Cheese man" from Cheesebourough, England. It's a full mummified man that goes back to 10,000 B.C. a little earlier then you wanted but, it may help.
National Geographic sites are a wonderful teaching tool, let your fingers do the walking.
