I asked a buddhist riend of mine: if someone had a gun at your head and was threatening to pull the trigger - what would you do?
He said: I don't know now. I'll have to wait til then.
He says its related to Karma but COME ON!

If someone had a gun pointed at my head I'd probably poop my pants. I don't know how I'd handle a situation like that. Thank God its never happened to me. : )

That's exactly where I would be. My response would depend on my analysis of the situation, AS IT IS HAPPENING. There really isn't any way to predict what the variables are going to be ahead of time. Locking myself into a specific response before I know what the situation will be is going to severely limit my options, I prefer to keep all options on the table until I determine which one best applies.

You'd be surprised how fast you can sort through them when you're running on an adrenalin boost.

There are a lot of variables in any combat situation. You have to consider all of them to determine the best course of action. Lethal force seems a likely response but it is possible it would not be neccessary. I would probably have to agree with your friend though not for the same reason. But the most probable outcome would be that he would be disarmed and killed.

I think I have to agree also. If the situation ever came up, no two circumstances would be the same. So, until it does, I'll wait and see.

I would have to agree with him, it would depend on the particular situation; are there other people around, would there be a way to talk the other induvidual out of it, etc.

I would disarm and promptly kill the offender. Although, I doubt that I'll ever get into that situation.

I did, I retired his hand, he was a thief, I told him take all the things you want but to me let me in peace. But it was so hard control myself.
