When I was 16. I tried to kill myself. Thinking my mother and my sister would get along if I wasn't there. ( I know this may not have been true, now) My counselor said, At that young of an age I was willing to become a martyr. I really don't understand. Please explain. Thankyou.

I'm compiling a list of things that are fun waiting for. Here's some examples:

* I like to wait until I eat my entire fortune cookie before reading the fortune.

* When converting an entire CD to mp3s, I like to wait for them to finish converting before listening to any of the songs.

* In the morning during rush hour in Chicago, sometimes I like to wait for everyone ahead of me to go up the stairs first and then I run up the empty stairs.

What are some of the things you enjoy waiting for?

Is it OK to not feel like talking when I'm hurt or angry with someone?
Or is it better to just say something right away?

I was river rafting over the weekend and one of the girls in our party took off her top while we were riding down the river. I was honestly not shocked by it (I have spent lots of time in Europe where this is normal) but all the girls in my boat went off on this girl and how her boyfriend (who was there) should be so ashamed. The river was crowded and had people and kids of all ages on it.

What do you think of this attitude, and what do you think it says about the perception of women in the US?

The other day I had a dream that realy bothered me. It was a dream I went to Hell, or some version of it. The dream starts off with a group of my friends and me walking to what is supposed to be an awesome party. We're in a crowd of THOUSANDS f people all walking along this path its a dark path up a hill. The stars were out and we could see the party lights flashing. We were all getting pumped until we got about 20 feet from the party. There was a big crevace almost that people had to jump over to get to the other side where the awesome party was. The crevace at friest glance didn't look imposing but it quickly showed itself to be a challenge to many people. I think it's worth noting that I had thia particular dream twice from different Angles. My friends and I in version 1 had reached the edge wehre you were to jump and they all made it across safely until it was just me and one other friend. I was set to jump but she pulled me back and was too afraid to jump alone. I told her that

Argument for viewing yourself in negative way:
Some people say that How can you change your weaknesses if you do not admit that you have them.
Isn’t there a rehab program where drug addicts introduces himself "My name is - and I am a drug addict"? It makes sense to admit your weakness so you can get rid of them.

Argument for not viewing yourself in negative way:
In 1776, Franz Mesmer unveils a device called a [baquette?] at the court of Louis the XVI of France. It is an oak barrel filled with iron filings that gives off an almost imperceptible magnetic charge. Mesmer tells the assembled guests that the charge is very powerful and that if they touch it they will have pleasant convulsions. And in fact, when members of the court touch the baquette, they collapse in convulsive fits and faint. What Mezmer has discovered is the power of suggestion

So when we suggest to ourselves that we have negative characteristics we start to act accordingly

How should a person perceive himself

my parents (who dont live with me) are giving me a super hard time about my life-style choices...

yeah i am in school, but i feel its a waste of time...so i am just a big social butterfly...which seems to pay off even more than any schooling could...

i know a bunch of people, and seem to be able to get people to do what i need to do...and that mostly involves men.

iguess i'm the type that kinda uses men to get money, gifts, vacations, an apartment, cars...u know all the things i cant really afford...my parents dont even know the half of it, cause they think i have a good paying part time job...but thats not the case....more like i have full-time hard working guys that are so easily swindled (giving of) their money...

to me..its just what i think i was menat to do, cause i really dont have the study skills or desire to get a 40 hour a week job.

am i that wrong, and my parents are right? or hey, is it just a woman's world out there to get and live how she wants?

Women complain that they are more discriminated than men and men receive more preferential treatment than them however I disagree

For one if american women claim they are suppose to be our equals why are they still not required to sign up for selective service but still have the rights to run for president or vote.
Two why is it that american women are sentenced to lighter sentence for crimes such as murder and sleeping with a underage boy.
it has been proven that divorce proceedings such as child custody and alimony are favored toward woman
Four it also been shown that domestic violence and sexual harassment against men are taken less seriously than women by society and by the law.
