Women complain that they are more discriminated than men and men receive more preferential treatment than them however I disagree

For one if american women claim they are suppose to be our equals why are they still not required to sign up for selective service but still have the rights to run for president or vote.
Two why is it that american women are sentenced to lighter sentence for crimes such as murder and sleeping with a underage boy.
it has been proven that divorce proceedings such as child custody and alimony are favored toward woman
Four it also been shown that domestic violence and sexual harassment against men are taken less seriously than women by society and by the law.

A true feminist, if she's worth her salt, cares about gender equality, not a battle as to who has been victimized the most. I loathe discrimination towards women, but that doesn't mean I favor discrimination towards men. Unfortunately, you see discrimination occurring the most when you're the target of it.

I do think it's wrong that women who are charged with statutory rape are given lighter sentences, and it drives me crazy that a father is going to have a helluva time with the legal system trying to get custody of his kids, even if the mother is an unfit parent. That doesn't change the fact, though, that women can work as hard as men and don't get paid the same or that there is a lack of political and even religious equality. Yes, women are allowed to run for President, but if the scales were so balanced, do you think it would've taken this long? We could spend all day arguing about which gender has it worse, but that defeats the purpose of a true proponent of gender equality, which is to dissolve the barriers between the two sexes.

No... I actually think men have us beat. Men have become more restricted in what they are allowed to say, do, think or express and heaven help them if they go against the political correctness that has swept over human kind. I am not saying that men have not had their day, decade, century well you get the idea but going from a male dominated system in which all things favor males to a female dominated system in which all things favor females is not the answer - a balance is needed so that each PERSON has an equal shot at success AND failure. 1. Selective service, woman serve in the military also, we should have to sign up for selective service. 2. The child preditors... We all know that men have lead the way in this field since the beginning of time and it will continue to be so because of the opinions of males who think that as long as the sex is consensual noone is getting hurt - sorry guys you far outnumber women in this category. However I have never heard of any man being too handsome to serve his jail time in jail????? Figure that decision out??? 3. Women get the death penalty less because we do not commit the hard crimes that men do and in the cases that women did commit those crimes they were adequately punished. 4. Child custody and divorce laws absolutely favor women, without a doubt but you have to ask yourself this question, how many men file for primary custody of the kids? Some of this is antiquated ideas that women are ALWAYS the better guardian for the children and some of this men can blame themselves for - check out the cases where children are involved in a divorce, the number of men who file for full custody are much lower than women and most of the time men are satisfied with joint custody with the wife being the primary residence this lets you have your cake and eat it too. 5. Women in the work place.... Do we really need to go here? We all know women take it on the chin in the work place.... Men have the good ole boys network and woman have the feminazi's I keep hearing about but over all I do feel like men's right are more threatened than womens.

Yes- I think women are very discriminated in the work force, they do the same work as men and get paid less. As for signing up for selective services. They are in the Air Force,Iran, fighting for our country etc.. Because, it's their better-half gets them in trouble, and the men gets the higher sentence's, while the women are pregnant, and get out on good behavior. Domestic violence@ sexual harassment is equal in both sexs.Men do have custody in many cases, I know a few men that have custody, the wife has to be the 1 to pay child-support.

The answer to your question is hell no. Women have more rights and privileges than men. Yeah I said it. Women complain about men in this country so much. They have the best of both worlds. They can be the victor and victim at the same time. I'm so sick of this situation. They have the court system, affirmative action, and men to support them. Men have no one. Men need to ask themselves about all of this. When was the last time women were expected to pay for dates? When was the last time women were expected to give their lives for service in the military? Men are expected to support and defend everyone. Women aren't expected to do anything. If a woman makes a mistake regarding her reproductive rights, she can have an abortion or put the child up for adoption. Men have no such option, we're coerced into paying for it regardless if we want to be parents or not. Men are expected to support the family even if the marriage relationship is dissolved. They get alimony and child support. Women aren't expected to give the man continued sexual favors even if the relationship fails. U.S. women are some of the most selfish, egotistical, domineering, nasty, rude, and downright belligerent human beings on the face of the earth. Sometimes I wonder are women human. They want equality but they also want the benefits of inequality.

First, we do want to be treated equally. We did not make the rules, just like why is it men get paid more money when it comes to employment. If you are a successful women or man going for the same position say General manager, the man will walk out being given a higher salary.
Second, maybe you get sentenced more because men are hard headed and you do more crime. But, these day's the women are starting to catch up.
And the harassment, let's face it men are physically able to get a women off of them. You are stronger o.k., so that is why you are taken lightly. If she is bigger you can still move her to an extent but you better bring the police some proof.

Studies suggest that women are less likely to commit violent crimes than men, that may be why women are given lighter sentences. Women are less likely to commit adultery and are less likely to commit crimes against children.

Most of the time during court proceedings men are too busy with their new love than considering the ex wife or children involved, they allow the women to have the children. Most women want the children and will provide the children with a loving home.

Women have been discriminated against for years, voting rights, employment, the glass ceiling is still a problem for women. Politically, women are still chasing men, when it is the women who are smarter and more equipped to the job.

in closing, Women are more likely to be discriminated even more because they are not the top 3 % of the money makers in America. Men run this country and they will continue to, until we as voters take the men out and replace them with women.

I personally think the feminist movement has gone way too far and the pendulum (if you will) has swung to the other extreme and that extreme towards women.

The most important thing to me that has not already been added to this discussion is this:

The feminists must remember about the boys we are raising. When they scream about their rights and demanding more for our girls it usually equates to our boys getting less. No movement ever succeeded by taking away from one group to give more to another.

This extreme is teaching our boys that they are less than girls and that scares the hell out of me because our boys are being discriminated against right now, each and every day.

Wow...this is a good question to get people thinking.
In my opinion, I think the white male is the most discriminated against in the world today. There are SO many reasons...but one being; When trying to get a job these days, with equal rights, I think it easier if you are a women, or a different race...especially if you are a non-white women...they get 2 birds with one stone with that hire. I feel sorry for the white male.

It is true that women do have some privileges that men don't enjoy. The legal system is usually biased in favor of the women. Men still get paid more in some job categories. However, women are entering colleges more than men and are being hired more in professional positions. When I apply for a job and there are women in the application pool, I know that my chances have been greatly reduced because the hiring authorities are looking for women more than they are looking for men. Men are to blame for some of those problems because women are achieving better scholastic results than men lately. More women go on to college and to professional schools and get better results. Thus, the hiring authorities are getting better candidates from the women. If men want to get a fair shake, then they had better stop whining about bias and start working on personal improvement to be more competitive in the professional ranks.

There is observably much more discrimination against women than men.

But unfortunately in a court of law there is much more favoritism towards women than men. This unwarranted court favoritism has led to just more domestic violence against women.
