Often, not all the time, when I am dreaming I can control what happens.

Have you experienced this?

Does anyone know how I can control my dreams? What makes this possible?

Whenever we're introduced to someone new, the first question people ask is "oh, what do you do"....like, it defines who that person is.

This has become just something customary, that's just asked. If you really think about it though it seems like we're actually providing people with a "quick take" of what we're about. But, in reality, I don't think people generally define themselves by what they do, even when they like their jobs. It's just one aspect of who they are. Some people even hate what they do for a living and consider it a mere necessity that pays the bills. So, what then?

When we meet someone new, isn't asking "oh, what do you do??" just as arbitrary as saying something like, "oh, I like raisins, what about you"?? Do you think people really want to know what a person does for a living, is it just cordial, do we use it to judge what kind of person they probably are, are we just robots of macro social etiquette ideals??

Hello, Everyone!

I'm sorry about this question, but:

Is there any way to tell if someone was molested as a child? Are there certain characteristics or anything they get/have when they get older?

Again, sorry about this question!

Thanks, Everyone!

I feel like I am crazy. He lies to me straight to my face and he denies stuff a lot. He makes me believe that he is telling the truth. He makes me question my own sanity. Like, did I see/hear that or not? Know what I mean? I have a hard time putting it into words so bear with me, please. I feel like he plays mind games with me. What makes someone do that? And why the hell am I still with him??

In exploring many of the answers to questions in this room, i do notice that trend. Now while i get the need for people to be positive .. are we being honest, or hopeful? If someone had stated not having good qualities, why assume it's merely hiddgen?

What i mean is if one has search for yrs and hasn't found any, why inform the person you hardly know that they're wrong. Not suggesting to say the opposite, just that why tell someone you hardly know or ever listen to the answer right off the back .. doesn't that take time?

I guess i just see people using a 90-10 rule of helping those with just a few issues and treated ones fulling down as if they're faking it, or like to be in the pain, or for the attention. Then again, it could just be out of my frustration for the same 7 answers to everything (faith, exercise, fake it til you make it, therapy, meds, family/friends, and find a hobby) .. i mean seriously .. is there another way to help those with issues not of the "typical"?

Isn't being a boy or a girl a huge stereotype??? Because almost all boys like sports just because they are boys. Also the whole thing about boys being macho, girls are just as strong as boys. Do you agree or not???

I've often heard especially in CA, everything and anything should be legal, 'I can do anything I want it doesn't hurt anyone'... do you feel that what you do or don't do in life doesn't have any effect on other people. If they told you it did would you try to be respectful or would you lash out becaus eyou can 'do what ever you want whenever you want'?

Do you feel that should be allowed to behave anyway you want to and anyone else should just "get over it" or are you mindful of the people effected by you?

It's a lot like the smoking debate... 'I can smoke where ever I want ti's my right' vs. the non smoker that thinks 'I shouldn't have to breath in your smoke just because you decide to light up next to me'

I believe anything you do or don't do effects someone else weather you are aware of it or not, do you believe you have a butterfly effect?

over the last 6 months i have lost 3 family members, and another 2 have been really ill.And at this moment,i dont know how serious that may be.I have always tried to be the strong one, who doesnt show too much feelings on the matter. But really i am suffering the same sadness as the rest.
I think the cracks are starting to show.As im becoming angry and bitter towards the people who care about me.I was always a very confident ,livley, person till then. But since then i have been feeling so low, which i guess is natural. But i cant help thinking its getting to the point of being bloody personal.I mean, how much is a person supposed to take.I had just got over depression, and started to feel like i could move on again in life ,and then another bloody blow comes to knock me straight back down again.SOME MAJOR WORDS OF WISDOM PLLEEAASSE.

We waste too much time hearing complaints. They say
if someone writes something down, it gets it out of their system.
Why not give people forms to complain on whenever possible? Then they will get the gripe out, and we wontt get stressed having to hear it?
Throw a little subliminal after they write out the complaint, that maybe somebody just had a bad day, and can you forget about it? Yes or No?
And a "disclaimer" that it wil be read, and IF it has merit, looked in to.

my spouse moved back home with her mother (who is controlling but thats not the issue here) a few months ago anticipating the birth of our son, since then, I have been telling her little lies, nothing large, just saying that someone else bought a pair of headlamp bulbs as opposed to me, or that I bought one gallon of milk instead of two, that kind of stuff insignificant stuff like that, and I did it habitually, without even realizing it, why am I doing this, it is now severely compromising our relationship

what Can I do to correct this action?
