I asked him, but he said he wasn't bored at all by our conversation. But, he was yawning all the time...every minute or so...was he bored, or just really tired??

Yawning is the body's way of getting oxygen to the brain. When a person feels the need to yawn, it means that they are not taking in enough oxygen. So there's no need to feel that your friend was bored. Perhaps he wasn't bored, but tired or just not getting enough air in. Sometimes I yawn if I sit a certain way or my breathing slows (like if I've been sitting for quite awhile).

He may have been tired. Heck, I know I have been in some boring conversations, but, it not make me yawn unless I was just tired.

Take his word for it if he said he wasn't bored. If he does it to you again, then you can start to assume that he's bored.
