... I know also that in many elementary schools around the country they have stopped playing dodge-ball, and have replaced such activites with games where no one loses ... to me these are similar issues ... I would agree that bad sportsmanship is a problem in todays sports, but is this a real solution? ... I can recall Reggie Miller saying he loved to play in New York because when the fans would boo him he like to sick it in their face ... isn't "booing" part of competitive sport? ... I was raised in the school of hard knocks, and although I didn't always like it, I am a better person today because of it ... are we teaching our kids to be "wussies"? ... isnt learning how to lose just as improtant as learning how to win? ... and isn't "booing" as much a part of fan interaction as cheering?

... and (I know i'll get slammed for this ... but) is this another example of Christian influences on society? ... or is it just a knee jerk reaction to the bad behavior of a few individuals?

I love going barefoot, and I sometimes walk barefoot down my street wearing only a T -- shirt and a pair of cutoff blue jeans . Would YOU be willing to put on a T -- shirt and a pair of cutoff blue jeans and walk barefooted down the street ? One rule I have is that everyone who sees you has to be able to see that you're barefooted . Would you walk down the street barefooted ? How many of you have actually done this ?

For my Psychology of Gender class, I am supposed to violate a gender role for a day, and write about the reactions I received, and I am having trouble coming up with a good idea of what i should do. Were I male, I think the task would be easier, needing only to paint my nails or wear lipstick, but being a girl, I am hard pressed to think of something that would actually spark some sort of response from people I meet on the street. So, my request of you, is to help me think of some good female gender roles I can violate in order to obtain a good reaction. Thanks!

If a wizard or a sorceress turned you into a frog, and you couldn't possibly be restored to human form -- you had to stay a frog forever, how would you live your life as a frog ? How would you make the most of being a frog ? What would you do to enjoy being a frog ?

i used to get really happy when i smoked and used to read up alot on wikipedia and research alot of things, used to play games and really enjoyed being high. but a couple weeks ago i smoked ALOT and had a really frightening experience, like i was hearing things and got really afraid, and RAN downstairs because i was so afraid, like when u hav adrenaline and u cant control yourself its just reflex to run away. like that.....and now i cant enjoy smokin anymore, in retrospect i think that it was just my mind, but now i cant enjoy smoking anymore, when i smoke it reminds me of the experience... anyone had an experiencee similiar(like getting really paranoid) and how can i be happy smoking again?..i basically ONLY get paranoid now, and not happy anymore.

i've really slowed down since then as well.

I have been having a recurring dream in which body lotion spills, or I squish the bottle by accident and it spurts all over.

Last night I had the same dream, except when I went to use the body lotion it had gone bad.

What on earth could this possibly mean?

Can someone help me answer this economic questions...thanks..:

1. Some companies advertise that they deal in high volume and pass the savings on to their customers. WalMart in particular advertises "Low Prices Every Day". Do you agree that this is a good business practice? Is it good for the consumer? The workers? The suppliers? The economy? Why or why not?

I am wondering if my relationship with my boyfriend is coming to an end or not...we have been dating 3yrs now (on and off) and he just doesnt treat me good enough, or at least that's my story and i'm sticking to it. On one hand i wouldnt really mind that much if we broke-up, but on the other I am afriad of losing my friend. I can't accept that this realationship was a faliure, and that very thought crushes my heart. I need to move on i guess, but it seems easier to me to not have to deal with the pain...even though i know one day i will be forced to deal with it. The feeling of uncertainty drives me NUTS, literally when it's at its worst, is unbearable!!! I do love him very much, and we get along great- he just isnt that into me like i need/want him to be. What should i do?? Be patient and hope it works out for the best...or take my chances of losing what could be the love of my life. HELP??!! LOL :)

I have this acquaintance who i just cannot figure out. Either he secretly dislikes me and barely tolerates being around me and this is why he acts this way, or this is basically how he acts to everyone:
He doesn't really show much emotion, he is kind of impassive and expressionless for the most part. Yes, he will smile once in a while, but I would not describe his range of facial/physical expression very wide.
He is monotone most of the time, his voice doesn't vary much.
Sometimes the volume of his voice is inappropriate.
He says things that are kind of offensive, but he doesn't say them in an offensive way, just kind of says them as statements but they are kind of offensive or inappropriate. I know he's done it to other people but not sure if they were supposed to be jokes. He does not indicate with his facial expression that it's a joke, because he says in a expressionless, montone manner. He does not reveal much about himself when I am trying to get to know him better........

my family is ALWAYS asking me "whats wrong with you?" "are you okay?". everytime they come home or see me thats the first question they ask. i tell them nothing is wrong with me and they say that i look miserable, i say im not miserable and they STILL ask me the same questions again later. because they KEEP doing it it makes me upset because thats ALL they ask me. it is VERY annoying.on the occasion that they speak with me about other things, once i say something, they suddenly say "why are u so miserable?" and start asking me the same questions again.. constantly asking me these question is what is now making me miserable with them and now i try not to talk to them at all..i explain to them im not miserable and i dont know why they keep thinking that, that maybe its just how i look, i dont know, but they dont listen.. my family never listens me. when i start talkin about things i want to do she doesnt try to support me or anything unless i point it out that she isnt.
