I have been having a recurring dream in which body lotion spills, or I squish the bottle by accident and it spurts all over.
Last night I had the same dream, except when I went to use the body lotion it had gone bad.
What on earth could this possibly mean?

Go to the library and look in a dream interpretation book on the meaning of spilling lotion. I tried looking it up online but they only allow you one word and that is was help at all. I've read that if your dream is going to come true, it will happen within 3 days of dreaming it. They say that when you dream something, immediately write it down so you won't forget any part of it as they fade fast once you are awake. Keep a pad and pencil by your bed. You can keep tract of them and see if anything comes of them.

I think it means that there is something that you can't seem to hold on to. You feel something is slipping away.
