it's a new year...and we want to make dramatic improvements in our lives!
So, would you dive into the depths of Personal Power for 30+ days?
Go for the quick hit of Get the Edge for 10?
Or realize you're going back to work after 10 days off and you'll need Time of Your Life?

What's your thoughts.

Has anyone else ever experienced hypnagogic hallucinations? If so, what were they? Is there a trigger that causes them and do they ever go away?
I wake up seeing "cockroaches" almost everynight. Sometimes I get so scared I wake my Fiance up to "kill" them, then I wake up enough to realize what the heck is going on and kinda of laugh it off, but at the time I feel scared to death! I am glad he is understanding, haha I'm sure that would freak most people out!

Hey everyone. I'd like people to suggest some impovements to the problems of the current capitalist syste. ie relentless pursuit of profit has meant great destruction of the environment, exploitation/ slave labour of people at home and abroad, extensive corporate intervention in our democracy/ influencing policy too much, avoiding tax and responsibility for actions, and generally creating a culture of greed. How can we make changes to our capitalist system to address all these problems?

Recent debate has focused on US men preferring foreign women over US women.

This situation has become so rife in recent years that American women attempted to pass legislation to stop the market for American men marrying foreign women:

http://www.imbra.org/

Why are US women not in similar demand with foreign men and why is there no market for them overseas? Surely with the massive demands they are able to make and the massive payouts they receive in divorce they are a superior product and we should be exporting them or they would be at least in some sort of demand rather than none.

Don't get me wrong, I love my kids (ages 9 and 4).
But I absolutely hate motherhood! I feel like a psycho for feeling this way, but gosh, there is so much I can't do anymore. I am just not into Barbie, Playstation, board games, cartoons. I would rather be out on the motorcycle with my hubby, shopping, riding my bicycle, dancing the night away, etc.
I am not a bad mother, my 4 yr old is smartest in her class. They are both well behaved (mostly!) healthy, and loved. I wrestle with them, read to them, play with them do all the things a mother should do, and I DO love them, but something is missing....I just don't feel the "mother instinct" that would make me jump in front of a train to save them.
Could it be that I suffered post partum depression with both of them and somehow "missed" something? Please don't tell me to get counseling, been there, done that. I've taken a parenting class read several books, but cant find anything except how great and wonderful its supposed to be.

Some people say they can tell if two people make a good couple just by looking at them. How can you tell. If one person is much less attractive than the other person do you think they can still make a good couple.
Do you think these people would make a good couple?:

Another question made me think of this.

If you could choose to be born the opposite sex, would you? Why? Is it because of how the other is treated, the genitalia, the benefits associated with that sex?

I posted another question a while ago asking if people thought of dying and many people talked about depression on their answers.. i didn´t mention it there, I have been dealing with depression for almost 3 years now.. The good days just fade away and the bad days take over... Have you guys ever had to deal with that?? started meds but they don´t work much... I can´t talk to my friends about it, because they think I am overreacting.. but that´s what it is, depression.. Does anyone know a way to keep going with it? Not to go crazy.. Not to just want to give up? I just don´t know what to do anymore..

What would the world be like if everybody was purple.. there wasnt any difference between anybody besides their personality. No worries about skin color or anything that has to do with appearence. People acualy would have to accept people for who they are? Would you expect less insecurities? Think it would be more peaceful? Just one of those random questions :-)

Donald Templer and Hiroko Arikawa recently, in a series of papers, have proven to a convincing degree that there is a direct correlation between skin color and IQ. In short, the darker a person's skin (more melanin content), the lower his or her IQ.

However, in colleges and the media, these findings have been kept hidden as if they were too politically incendiary. Why is it such a horror to provide solid scientific evidence (based on genetics and biochemistry) for something most people already know or suspect?
