Weight loss occurs when you burn more calories than you consume.
Start by adjusting your diet. No junk food, sodas, sweets, empty calories...eat healthy meals (at least 3 a day, 6 small meals is better) of lean meats, fresh fruits and veggies, complex carbs, and drink lots of water. Keep your calorie intake around 1500 a day (assuming approx. 2000 a day is average).
Next, exercise regularly. Dance is great but try to workout otherwise too if you can (before or after school or work). Try to get in an hour's worth of cardio activity 5 days a week...walking, jogging, rollerblading, dancing, aerobics, etc.
You should start seeing a weight loss fairly quickly. Good luck!

Yes the dancing at school will work for you, as well to help thing along, try this eat every thing you normally would, only eat 1/3 less, It is not a sin to leave food on your plate find a plate with a centre pattern and only eat what fits on the pattern, and best of all eat slowly. , This way you can fool yourself into eating less but never feeling deprived

Dont eat less! Eating less slows down your metabolism and so you ARENT burning more calories. Your body will hold on to calories until you eat again because you need them.
1. You need to exercise.
2. You need to eat right. At least 5 small meals a day.
3. Drink water and milk. Milk burns fat.
4. Your workout should consist of both cardio and weight training. More cardio.
Good luck boo.

Dancing is a great way of losing weight. Long walks everyday will help you too. Also using stairs a lot.

Its really hard to something like that alone. Find somebody to diet and exercise with you, and you'll be more motivated. I know, trust me there's NO way I could lose weight on my own.

It's not hard to *lose* weight: just eat less and move more. Increase the number of calories you burn and decrease the amount you bring in.
It's not exactly rocket science.

When you get a craving to have some food, suck on an ice cube or take out a piece of gum. For sure it will help ;-)
