Some people say they can tell if two people make a good couple just by looking at them. How can you tell. If one person is much less attractive than the other person do you think they can still make a good couple.

The fellow there looks a lot like a psychology professor I did some research work under.
I think that a couple with disparate levels of attractiveness can still work, because attractiveness is rated differently by everyone. I may think that a guy is ugly and a woman is beautiful, while someone else may think they are basically the same, or even that it is the other way around.
Now, if the guy thinks the woman is hot, and that he is ugly (or vice versa), this is where the problems could start, as it could lead to jealousy (thinking they will cheat on you), or it may lead a partner to let the other walk all over them. So really it is more a matter of perceptions within the couple than perceptions outside of it - a short ugly guy who is confident about himself will probably be able to keep together with an attractive gal, as long as he can keep her satisfied. But then again it will still depend on her own views of the relationship and relative attractiveness.

well yes they do look like a good couple and i guess the best way to see if someone is a good match is are the to smiling i mean really smiling not a put on a happy face smile but the ones that come from inside.

Only time can tell. Appearances say nothing to me. Its what goes on in public and alone with each other that defines a good couple. Every second of every hour of every day, month, years. Mutual love and respect always. Always.

being a good couple has nothing to do with appearance...the reason you can sometimes tell if a couple is a good couple is by the way the compliment eachother and are content with eachother's love and don't look as though they have something to prove or are insecure in their relationship.

Just strictly based on appearances, which is all we have to go by, my impression is yes. They both look a little kooky, old enough to know what they want, and most importantly, they look like they're having fun together.
