Let's say someone stare at you (and you stare back) repeatedly and periodically even Smiles while staring at you.

How much body language is given in simple Eye contact between two individuals?

How should such behavior be interpreted??--- A sign of Attraction and Interest???----Mere Curiosity and nothing else??---A combination of all these???

How can I stop having so much anxiety towards my job? Everytime I have to take a personal day off or have to call in sick..I keep thinking that I am either in trouble or that I will get fired if I do that. I dont know why... I also get anxiety over money, or over any bad situation- no matter if it is even a big deal or not. I even get anxiety attacks. I hate it!!!
Also, I am so overly sensitive that I cant stand it anymore and other people cant stand it either. I have lost friends because of this. I get so emotional over the stupidest things, overreact, and jump to conclusions. I need to know why and how I can fix these things. I am sure that this is a part of me but I want to change it and not be so sensitive anymore.
No mean answers please

Before we met, my girlfriend used to drink excessively & often would sleep with whoever made her feel good at the moment. Although now we have a great relationship, I can't help but feel sick every time I think about how she used to be. I have never told her how I feel about this, but it is really effecting me in a bad way. I need to get over this and move on but don't know how. Help!

I read about a study done in Israel: Two groups of students read the biblical story of Joshua and the sack of Jerrico:

1st group read story as is and were overwhelmingly positive about Joshua's actions--the mass slaughter of men, women, children, and animals. They all pointed out that God had promissed the territory to tem and that no action against these people could therefore be "evil".

The seconf group read the story with all the names of people and places replaced by Chinese ones, told the story was from the "Three Kingdoms" period there. THIS group universaly condemmed the actions, most comparing them to the Holocaust.

What do you think these results say about religon and thinking?

I suppose that people recognise even if unconsciously their own weaknesses and instinctively see those as vulnerabilities to attack in others. But on the other hand this seems so transparent to me, and renders their accusations futile or self defeating. So why do they do it?

Everybody is afraid of something. Some people may be afraid of certain places, such as a very tall building or a dark forest late at night. Other people might find themselves fearful of certain experiences, such as trying out for a sport or speaking in public. Still others may find themselves frightened by spiders or ferocious dogs.

Tell me about your greatest fear, and describe how do you overcome your fear

Capitalism is a system based on the greed of people to push competition, creating a system where people's dollars become their voting power and influence....Is it good that capitalism depends on such a basic part of man's nature (his self-interest)? Or is this a flaw because it reinforces greed in people which should not be encouraged?

What do people benefit from lying? Don't they know the truth will come out eventually? Is lying a form of weakness?

...and runs away without saying a word, after a guy has walked over to her and simply says "hello" to her? I have seen young women do this to guys all of the time (and I mean to normal looking guys who act civilized, not just to the unhygienic or the misbehaving) in almost every situation that I can think of (I.E.: at the library, at work, at church, at the bus stop, the school hallway in-between classes, at the mall, the dance club, etc.), and I have been literally wondering all of my life what is it that makes some people believe that making ugly & strange faces at someone and running away like your hair is on fire is ever an appropriate response to someone of the opposite gender who is simply giving you a standard greeting? Obviously, she probably suspects that the guy might be thinking of "hitting" on her, and obviously she is acting immature, but I was hoping for something more than the standard superficial answer. This is not an attempt to belittle women. I really am curious.

Definitions being what they are it makes this issue a tricky one at best.
Three brains, reptilian instinct, simian emotion and human thought consciousness is the human legacy.

Does the sum of the three optimised brains
constitute a human mind?

What happens when the three are out of kilter?
etc etc

Any one have any thoughts on these sorts of issues?

be aware that they have this disorder?.. strange question perhaps, I wonder whether I might have this but does the mere fact that I feel this may be the case invalidate such a diagnosis? Are people with it unaware the have it until diagnosed?? If that makes sense?

lately i've come to find i feel very empty. like everything i do has no meaning. i've come so far in life but i feel like i'm getting nowhere right now. like i'm just spinning my wheels. i've realized i don't really care for the person i am. the front that everyone sees. no one knows the real me. i've always been the down to earth, crazy, rockstar party girl. and i hate every second of it. i don't want to be the life of the party. i don't want to be the one who is always upbeat and happy. it's not me. i'm not always happy. and for a while i fooled even myself into thinking i was happy. (damn i'm good hah) but something will always eventually remind me that i'm a ******* mess and that what i'm doing is not making me happy, but merely dulling the pain for a moment.
