A few times, lately, I've seen on Yahoo! Answers reference to people who are 'easily influenced'. Nobody has decribed THEMSELVES as easily influenced. It's always other people. What I would like to know is: who ARE these people who are easily influenced and why aren't Yahoo! Answerers among them?

There was once a kingdom far away. Here, the strangest form of judgement took place, a mixture of luck and karma. The accused would be released from one door, and at the other side of teh arena, there were two doors. One door had the most beautiful and best sutied woman for the man (women never got sent in here). If the man would choose this door he would instatnly get married to her, in the arena, even if he had a family. In teh other however, was the fiercest and hungriest lion they could find. One day, teh king found out that the princess had a peasent lover. The king sentenced him to the arena, knowing taht anyway he chose, the king would win. The princess, having good looks & charm (and a lot of money) found out whta was behind each door. The woman behind one door was the most beautiful in all the land, but the princess hated her. As soon as the man wnet into teh arena he looked straight at the princess, hoping for an answer. She pointed left. Whichc did he get, marrige or death?

I'm just carrying on through this boring sh1t always waiting and looking forward to better days that are always just round the corner.but they never seem to arrive. I'm constantly thinking that once I've finished this thing or that thing...then things will be great but when i look at it realistically...it's always been like this! There's got to be some point to all this striving... How can you live for the now rather than ....for the tomorrow that never comes?I'm 36 ...is this something to do with my age maybe?

For my anthropology folklore class, we are 'collecting folklore'. I decided to work under the umbrella of disability. Does anybody know any joke, narrative, riddle, etc. involving 'disabled people'-- (it doesn't have to be politically correct). This includes any "folk speech, riddle, superstition, folk metaphor, gesture, charms, proverb, naming, curses, toasts, slurs, folk narrative, etc." Also, where and in what context did you hear this/ when did you learn this? Thanks in advance!!!

Or am I just weird? I'm sure it's a recognised psychological thing though, like looking down from a great height and imagining yourself jumping off, or picking up a knife and thinking about stabbing yourself. What's all that about?

There's a guy who gets the same bus as me every day and I can't stand his face. I don't know the guy, I've never even heard hom speak but I can't stand him. Why is my brain doing this? Is it some kind of primeval instinct kicking in?

The idea behind capitalism is that only the businesses that make the best products survive. However, it seems that A LOT of businesses make money off exploiting human weaknesses, instead of figuring out ways to better our lifestyle. Agree?

(Please take note that I am not saying we should abandon capitalism, but this is a phenomenon everyone should be aware of)

I moved to London from L.A. 2 months ago with my parents, and I MISS THE U.S.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm 14 so I'll be here a while....my dad signed a 5 year contract. Everything's a lot different....people don't talk nearly as much as the do in the U.S., and they do indeed love tea. They're really nice, but I still feel so homesick. What can I do?????
