Yeah, sometimes I get that feeling. You just have to ignore it; that feeling and try to overcome it by self assurance and boostering your self confidence.

Yeah - it is called agoraphobia and I used to have it bad. I'd go into a store and have to leave in the middle of shopping. I take medication and go to therapy and almost never have an episode any more. It would take 4 or five trips to get groceries and that made it worse as that then made 4 or five times going through it. You almost just stop and stay home if you don't get help.

Well, when I have my guide dog pup in training with me I do get a lot of stares, but they are staring at the dog, not at me, so I don't mind.
But whenever I'm around people who are laughing amongst themselves I get this paronoid suspicion that they are laughing about me. I'll let you know how to stop it when I find out myself.

Whenever I wear those clear jelly flip flops people always stare at my feet in stores and such. I know they are thinking at first that I have no shoes on. It is a weird feeling because you know what they are thinking. They probably stare at you because you are attractive. Couldnt that be the case? Dont think its bad.

People stared at the man in the black trench-coat. They stared at him when he was in line for his tater tots. They stared at his mohawk haircut. They stared at his military fatigues. He was tired of being stared at. Now nobody stares anymore. They stared before when he came around, but today when he brought to school his big rifle, they stopped staring in a hurry.

That's human nature for you. We are all at times concerned that others are paying attention to us. The fact is everyone is too busy wondering what others are thinking about them to actually pay attention to you.
Think of it this way and go on about your day. Good luck.

Usually I get that feeling when i have toliet tissue stuck to my shoe! Smiling at other people and making eye contact are helpful when feeling self-conscious.
