It depends. At the moment I'm very pessimistic about human beings and the future of the planet. I'm optimistic because I think there are a few good human beings, and their light shines brighter than that of the evil majority.

Neither. I am a realist. When I am in a no chance situation,I know to take a chance. A pessimist would just give up; while an optimist, through his rose color glasses, would not even recognize a dire situation as such.

i consider myself a "realist", but others probably see me as a pessimist.. the world is so grim it just seems like i'm being pessimistic.

pessimist--if you think negatively then if things turn out for the best you are pleasantly surprised. Its better than always being hopeful and then let down.
