1. The phone always rings when you are in the midst of something else and have to devote all your time to that.
2. The frequency of the phone ringing is directly proportional to how overloaded and burnt out you already are at a particular moment.
3. The likelihood that the call is a bad call (telemarketer, someone you don't want to deal with, etc) is directly proportional to how burnt out you already are.

I posed this question last week and many of the answers were because it's the next "natural step" in a commited relationship..but not one person could say why....if marriage is so natural why did it have to be invented?

(please no answers that god or jesus wants it...)

I'd love to be stronger-willed about things I promise myself I won't do too much of (drinking, drugs etc) but I'm very bad at making myself stick to the plan. Can you make yourself have stronger will power?

I just think about conditions in which most of the natural resources get eroded and most of the people are busy in creating artificial services and goods. Are such artificial economies sustainable without backing of a base of natural resources? What is the net impact of the activities of artificial economies on the real economies?

I'm 43, called attractive by most females, (not bragging, trying to be very honest) am very smart, have near to the most diverse knowledge base of anyone I've met, am extremely romantic, loving kind caring, have a very strong mind (have been through and am going through so many traumatic experiences, yet remain very positive about life and the beauty thereof and 99% of my days are fully enjoyed). I'm literally 99% independent, etc, etc.

Yet when I'm in a social setting, I don't catch woman looking at me, showing signs of desire to meet me etc.
So really; think as introspectively as you're able and try your best to tell me what zeros you in on a man upon first entering a social setting; not having met him yet...I don't believe it is ALL about appearance, or is it?

Are you in a job that you like but, yet, have to "push" yourself to get out of bed to go to? If you like the job, then why do you feel this way, every morning?

ZAP! A giant gamma ray burst washes over the earth, killing everyone, except for you. You were decorating the inside of your gamma ray shelter at the time. And miracoulously, you're the only human being alive. So.....what now?

You're in a cloning lab, as part of a new experiment to clone humans. Turns out it was sucessful and you now have a living clone, exactly the same looks, interests, thoughts...well everything as you do. Question is, would you really get along with this clone? Does having someone exactly like you make you dislike them, because you are a contradicting person, or would it draw you even closer. Like best friends. Or even. Would you even go so far as to have a romantic entanglement with your own clone lol.
