Social Science - 8 August 2006

I have a paper due for an archeological field school class I took. I took it the first year and then was asked to be an assistant and we turned it into an honors special project so I have to write this paper. It is a colonial parsonage site on a battlefield in NJ and I have no clue where to begin. I am drawing a complete blank. This has never happened with any other paper. This years dig turned up little, how do I fill 18 pages? I can not think of a thesis statement that I could build 18 pages around. Anyone have any suggestions?

Personally i can either take it or leave it and sometimes just the smell of it makes me nauseated.....i know i am in a very small minority considering all you seem to really love it....anyone know if theres a chemical reason for this?

I have slept with many men, and have been safe everytime. I call myself a slut, as that way when people attempt to degrade me by calling me that it backfires and there is no satisfaction for them. The same goes for other words that have been used to degrade women. My observation however, is that more women degrade each other by using those words then men do these days. Why do women feel the need to do that? Shouldn;t we be more united and not as judgemental as some men are? What exactly does the name calling and degradation do for women as a group? There is no positive aspect to it, so why does it continue?

I just went to the gas station. I got my gas, a coke, and a snickers bar. Right next to the register was this big can with a nozzle on it. Flavored Oxygen!!!! I know about Oxygen Bars, but at what point did it become flavored and packagable for mass marketing? What does this indicate about our culture? Would you, have you bought it? Please help me understand this, as I am at a complete loss.

I have worked with this jerk since I started in January and at first we had a good working relationship. He was nice to me and I told him things I shouldn't tell my boss, like the reason why I called in is because I didn't get the promotion I thought I deserved and I have an internet addiction. He is very pleasant while he writes me up! Now I have caught on that he's not my friend and I treat him like he's my boss and I am actively looking for a new job. He knows this and we talked about this. I can't expect a good reference from him but I can use the HR department as reference for hire date. I heard that there's going to be reorganization and I might be getting a new supervisor anyway before I quit but either way we won't be working together much longer.

I want to end this relationship on as professional and on as positive a note as possible. What should I do or say to accomplish this? What should I definately not say to the new supervisor?

If one believes that religion should not dictate such topics as abortion because religion is based on faith and is not scientifically provable, than all things unprovable must be excluded as well. Such things include the soul, the birth of a human conscience and freewill, and the beginning of human life (not just legally, even blacks were once NOT human legally).

Without such debates, why would an unborn child (especially with a formed brain, heart, and lungs) not be considered a "pre-adolescent"? What science proves unborn children are not immature living humans?
