If that's the case we won't have to worry about the Christmas Tree in Toronto to be re-named the Tree of Lights any more. Praise be to God and His Son, and the Holy Ghost.

from what I presently understand of this intrinsic ability, it would be "in born", not acquired via education, library routeen. A "natural", a knowing.

Please go to the web site www.letssaythanks.com . You can pick
out a thank you card and the Xerox Corporation will print it and it will be
sent to a soldier that is currently serving in Iraq. You can't pick out
who gets it, but it will go to some member of the armed services. It is
FREE and it only takes a second. Wouldn't it be wonderful if the soldiers
received a bunch of these?

i dont do these types of meditations or whatever, nor have i tried. but it got me thinking, i usually sleep with my window wide open, the other day i had somewhat 'dreamed' of seeing spiders. it wasnt even a dream, it was just like a foggy memory of seeing spiders, like seeing underwater, its all foggy and wavy, like that. i didnt pay attention to the wierd, so called 'dream' but the next day i walked in my room and saw this huge 1 inch thick spider on the ceiling of my room, freaked me out, killed it and forgot about it. another day later boom, another huge giant spider crawling around the floor, killed and it forgot about it. but then the memory came back...the so called 'dream'. how on earth can that be a coincidence? what had happened to me that night i had that vision? was i literally outside of my body floating around seeing these two huge spiders crawling in from my window while i was fast asleep?

what do you think happened???

I was recalling the story A Rose For Emily earlier when I remembered the narrator saying, "We tend to cling to that which robs us."

I know this must be true - it's seen in tons of cases with children who grow up to be like the harasser they lived with or were abused by or people growing up to marry others who are like that.

But why do we do it? What would be some sensible answers as to why we tend to cling to that which robs us?
