If the victim is/was her boy's best friend, could the victim be at risk for developing PTSD later in life? Would he have difficulty ever being close to someone for the rest of his life?

She does that because she's a sick pervert, and having a 20+ year as a mental health practitioner, I can say that with diagnostic certainty. And the person who most likely will have PTSD, and trouble trusting anyone will be her son that she twisted enough to attack his best friend whom he would not have attacked without her perverted directives. God Bless the boys. God Bless you.

I don't believe it will affect the victim all his life. Boys do this but as for the mother encouraging it, it is wrong. I was once astounded when an old bf and I were outside playing with our kids (his boy was 4 and my girl was 3) and my daughter wouldn't move out of his son's way so my bf told his son to just push her. I got mad and took my daughter home.

What is ptsd? Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome.
There are specifics that you must have for this disorder. You cannot fake mental disorders they have tests for that now. but if you suspect that is the case go to nearest mental clinic for testing. ptsd is usually caused by military war victims and children, and or severly abused children.
