1. Work out which jobs will take the least time. Do these first, its less stressful to work on the bigger tasks if you don't have a pile of things waiting to be done.

2. Prioritise. Pick what needs doing most.

3. Make time. Do you really need to watch that Simpsons marathon? *Insert appropriate time wasting exercise here.*

4. Schedule. Plan when you are going to do what. If you know you have to go grocery shopping on a particular day then do it. Don't procrastinate, that'll just add to the 'to-do' pile.

Time is essence and they say 'time and tide wait for no one'. If you believe in this adage, you will put in your best and use time effectively. If one tries to concentrate and wants to do value-addition while doing anything the results are going to be marvellous. There are two ways of doing things. One is the simple approach -- it may be a short-cut or a short-term method and the other is a time-proven and tested and the assiduous (difficult) method which is so demanding. It is usually the second way of doing things that is more acceptable and stands the test of time. Because the foundation built is very firm. Concentration is one thing that one develops over time. If one is concentrating in whatever one does, time will be effectively and efficiently put to use and the result will be 100% NOTHING LESS. One must try not to let one's mind wander here and there unnecessarily, but try to put it in what one is doing. There is a saying by a great Management Guru "Leaders do not do different things, they do the things differently". Another thing that comes to my mind is the passion to do a job...a burning fire deep within us that pushes us all through out when the process of doing is undertaken. It is this passion to do well that pushes us to use time effective and efficiently and achieve the end-result with positivity and with flying colours. It could be preparing for an examination, for example and we have a deep passion within our hearts to do well and excell others and we put in hard work and try to concentrate with the ultimate goal of achieving victory which we do achieve in the end and that to with flying colours. Others are left way behind. Good luck.

In the beginning, you have to make good plan with practical steps and targets. Write it down. Then follow through. Later on you may need to make some adjustments but these are not for your convenience or laziness. Instead, they should be for the purpose of getting one more step toward your target.

You have to settle your priorities. Know what is the most important thing to you, and set your goal towards achieving it. Try to avoid the habit of starting things and not finishing it.
