i dont do these types of meditations or whatever, nor have i tried. but it got me thinking, i usually sleep with my window wide open, the other day i had somewhat 'dreamed' of seeing spiders. it wasnt even a dream, it was just like a foggy memory of seeing spiders, like seeing underwater, its all foggy and wavy, like that. i didnt pay attention to the wierd, so called 'dream' but the next day i walked in my room and saw this huge 1 inch thick spider on the ceiling of my room, freaked me out, killed it and forgot about it. another day later boom, another huge giant spider crawling around the floor, killed and it forgot about it. but then the memory came back...the so called 'dream'. how on earth can that be a coincidence? what had happened to me that night i had that vision? was i literally outside of my body floating around seeing these two huge spiders crawling in from my window while i was fast asleep?

what do you think happened???

There are a few considerations to take into mind when reviewing your situation. Humans have very odd data retrieval systems... How our memories are stored and brought to mind is horrendiously flawed. And that's a person who is wide awake and aware of their surroundings... When you throw sleep into the equasion, things can become a bit more surrealistic.

Consider. Perhaps you weren't quite asleep when your visual sense perceived the invading arachnids stealing in through your window. There's a few moments, known as lucid dreaming, that transpire between being fully awake and being completely asleep. The conscious and subconscious mind interact more freely and fully, allowing for some rather unusual 'visions.' I use the term vision loosely however... Lucid dreaming incorperates born real-life aspects of our enviornment and subconscious regurgitation of memories, emotions, and taboos.

I've seen and interacted with people in this state... Sometimes just drifting off to sleep, sometimes coming back to full wakefullness. They can seem quite aware, answering questions and holding conversations. They perceive their enviornment and can interact with it (though often there is a reduction of motor control). But, often, they have no true memory or awareness of what is going on around them. Only certain elements, particularly stark, emotion-causing actions and perceptions, remain with them... And even then it's horribly diluted and etherial.

So, before I ramble too much, while it is possible (according to many religious and spiritual beliefs) to have an out-of-body experience, there stands more evidence for a bit of lucid dreaming. While almost asleep, you may of rolled over (without coming to full wakefullness) and saw the motion of the spiders entering your room through the window. While the subconscious may of perceived and even retained it, the conscious mind was only dimly aware of it and assumed it to be a dream interaction.

Note: There are people out there that can control their lucid dreaming... It's a strange quasi-real enviornment that, when in control, can be manipulated to all sorts of ends. A rather interesting state of being, for sure....

Well what i think happen is you might of been awake with knowing it. It happens to me. I have werid dreams and they seem to come true. Like your spider dream, I had a dream a bout a spider crawling on my pillow and when I woke there was a spider. I think it happens to every one.

According to Aristotle, our soul is a part of us made in specific percentages from body and energy! Thus, we could not leave out bodies!
We could imagine, "see", our body, in other dimensions (space and time)!
