I am looking to find out how fast the wind must be blowing to pick up droplets of water off the surface of a body of water so I can guess-timate the wind speed I was experiencing in Patagonia.

Okay, so I know that global warming will make extreme weather, like huge floods, massive hurricanes, large electrical storms, and big tornadoes.

But, why? Scientifically speaking, why will it make extreme weather?

Thanks!

Im asking this question because Michigan seems like a normal whether state. Michigan has warm to hot summers and mild to cold winters. But if I was to go to Canada on the same latitude that England is, it would be VERY COLD. But england doesn't seem that cold? I also had a friend who moved back to england and his old friends reminded him of how cold it was there before he went, and it just hit me that they are alot further north then michigan? So is england alot colder the northern u.s. states? Because they are like in upper canada area and thats like artic weather there? like the inuits or whatever they are.

I can go to the weather channel and check the temperature and if it is below 50 degrees, little humidity and windy it will give me a wind chill reading also.

Why don't they give me a wind chill reading when it is 68 degrees, little humidity and windy?

It defiantly feels colder out them it really is.

Test question and needed a little help. My guess was that it had something to do with the Pacific Ocean being larger than the Atlantic and thus leading to colder temperatures, but I wasnt sure if there are any other contributing factors

And yes, WEATHER ans SEASON. I hope you know the difference...

Weather - Sunny, Rainy, Snowy, Cold, Bright, Cloudy, etc.
Season - Spring (mine!), Summer, Autumn/Fall, Winter (my ex-fave).

I like Spring in season but Philippines only have summer and rainy days. I love cold weather. Cloudy and breezy was okay and i also love rainy but only if i'm at home. I'll love it if it's really windy! I'm so excited for the coming rainy days on June but I hate back-to-school... = (

Naturally the earths temp goes up after an ice age is done right? So why all the hype? The politicians want to controll our consumption of energy probabley by taxing it to have more of our money right?

I have lived by the ocean before, but not so high up. I experienced hurricanes elsewhere that weren't so noisy.
