I find it funny that we went from seasonal highs to a record low for this date.
So I guess that old saying wait a minute the weather will change is true in some places?

I mean the weatherpeople always tell us that the cold air that comes from north of the continental U.S. is called a 'Canadian' cold air mass, so what would the cold air that comes from west of Canadian air space be called?

We are told by know all experts that we were due the worst winter in decades... it never occured... we were told the other week the big freeze was on... it lasted a couple of days and was still mild compared to most years... and now we are told 2007 will be the hottest year on record !! We are told all sorts of things by climate experts and nothing bears out... why is this? Do you think it's because they talk a load of bunkum telling us what is going to happen and know full well simple minded people will believe them and they wont be proved wrong until they have earnt a fortune with their guff and retired on the proceeds thank you so much? They cant even predict the week aheads weather accurately so why should we believe all this climate change rubbish? Is there REALLY any solid proof, proof what will convince a non-believer or is it like the bible... you need blind faith to believe them?

I'm asking because I'm curious as to what people from all over the world and in different climates think. I know there are going to be very different answers.

Today in NH is scary cold. We have a high of 10°F with a wind-chill factor of -11°F. Now THAT's cold!

On a tephigram, assuming we are dealing with saturated air, how do you find the altitude of final release of latent heat and the ultimate potential temperature?

If the temperature is - say - at freezing point but the chill factor makes it feel like -6, what effect will it have on you. Will you be subject to the likelihood of dying from exposure that would be caused by zero degrees or - 6 degrees ?
