The number of sunspots on the Sun's surface rises and falls between a maximum and a minimum over an 11-year cycle - the sunspot cycle. At solar maximum there may be as many as 200 spots on the Sun's surface whereas at solar minimum there may be none at all - the next sunspot maximum is predicted to take place in 2012
Mayan Prediction:
According to the Mayans the present era began 13th August 3114 BC and ends on 21st December 2012 AD.

The Mayan start date of our era is similar to the start date for the Egyptian civilisation, according to modern archaeologists.

The Sun is a source of light and heat for life on Earth. Our ancestors realized that their lives depended upon the Sun and they held the Sun in reverent awe. We still recognize the importance of the Sun and find the Sun to be awe inspiring. In addition we seek to understand how it works, why it changes, and how these changes influence us here on planet Earth. The Sun was much dimmer in its youth and yet the Earth was not frozen. The quantity and quality of light from the Sun varies on time scales from milli-seconds to billions of years. During recent sunspot cycles the total solar irradiance has changed by about 0.1% with the sun being brighter at sunspot maximum. Some of these variations most certainly affect our climate but in uncertain ways.

Did you ever see that God is a mother also as well as interwoven into the biological makeup of our planet ? He is the one who gives birth to ice and snow...etc.

Job 38:28-30
28 And who do you think is the father of rain and dew,
29 the mother of ice and frost?
30 You don't for a minute imagine
these marvels of weather just happen, do you?

I am an insurance adjuster that's getting sick of the website we are using to get past weather information. Does anyone know a few websites that I can get weather information (preferably with a search function by city) for specific dates. Optimally I am looking for something that includes wind speeds, temp, storm activity, precipitation, lightning strikes, snowfall, hail etc. Even a combination of websites that will give me this information would be fantastic. Thanks for your help.

The theory of global warming has been in the news a lot these days hyped by Al Gore with his money making book and movie. Now Leo DiCipriao is asking questions trying to raise awareness to global theory. They spout at stats like they are proof of global warming while there are stats that can be used to contradict global warming. They use the idea that "the last 10 years have been the warmest on record", when records have not been kept but for a little over a 100 years. Leading climatologist debunk global warming and say that it is being used to advance political causes. Al Gore would not do that would he? Back in the 70's many of the same people were saying that Global Cooling was occurring and that we were heading into another ice age!

This does not mean would should not be environmentally friendly, but people should be careful about being led around believing things without checking ALL of the facts!
