The theory of global warming has been in the news a lot these days hyped by Al Gore with his money making book and movie. Now Leo DiCipriao is asking questions trying to raise awareness to global theory. They spout at stats like they are proof of global warming while there are stats that can be used to contradict global warming. They use the idea that "the last 10 years have been the warmest on record", when records have not been kept but for a little over a 100 years. Leading climatologist debunk global warming and say that it is being used to advance political causes. Al Gore would not do that would he? Back in the 70's many of the same people were saying that Global Cooling was occurring and that we were heading into another ice age!

This does not mean would should not be environmentally friendly, but people should be careful about being led around believing things without checking ALL of the facts!

Perhaps YOU are the one who should check all your facts and get educated on the subject.
Al Gore did not make this movie to make money--- and do you think Leo DiCaprio needs more money or fame as well?
What are the political advantages of spouting statistics???
How do we predict the future? By examining patterns of the past and comparing that to what is now happening.
How many facts have YOU checked? Have you even watched "An Inconvenient Truth" of are afraid to? While you are at it, watch "The Future of Food". Our planet and the people on it are being doomed by big business--- pull your head out of the sand and look around you.
BTW--- when the planet warms, an ice age eventually follows... How about that! Plus, perhaps we have learned a few things since the 70's??? Then again, maybe you have not... if you were even alive then.
Wake up, my friend!

Pollution, from factories, cars and just plain population masses is causing this round of global warming. What is political about wanting to keep this earth of our capable of sustaining life? if it is not real, why are many of the world's governments taking a firm stand regarding pollution and the reduction of the effects of warming? We WILL eventually go into an ice age once the warming trend is over because the imbalance of the ratio of water to land mass will trigger massive climate changes, etc. YOU need to get all the facts before you try to debunk something that is an issue all over the world. Stop listening to our conservative, eco-unfriendly government and go out and get the facts for yourself, if you don't trust Mr. Gore.
