Can you help me and world to apply solar energy more than existing naturally usage to make easy and safe living for human and other beings? Would you like to be partnerships for together to develop solar industries? I planed, designed, made and tested some solar fabrications, but I can not continue because of there is not enough money and enough formality support in our country, Iran.
Best regards
Ahmadi

I've heard that if you're in the shower while there's a thunderstorm outside, you'll get struck by lightning even though you're inside. Is this true?

Lets say you have walked 5 miles up thin strip of beach. The strip of beach, no wider than a football field at it's widest point, separates the intracoastal waterway and the atlantic ocean. Hence, water on both sides. The beach is a wildlife refuge and therefore contains absolutely no man-made objects.
Assume that a large thunderstorm rapidly approaches, giving you approximately 20 minutes before the heavy rains, blinding lightning and deafening cracks of thunder begin. You have a backpack and a fishing pole. The fishing pole is a graphite composite 7' foot rod, with a machine grade aluminum reel. You have a stainless steel leatherman attached to your belt and a GPS unit in your pocket. In your bookbag you have about two pints of water and several lures, many containing lead sinkers embedded within them.
Assume the lightning and thunder will last about 2 hours. What the heck do you do?

I have a bit of a fascination with thunderstorms and recently during a severe thunderstorm a question popped in my head: What happens when lightning strikes a pond, lake, or in the ocean? We know that water carries electricity… so does that mean when lightning strikes these waters that any of the fish or mammals that live in these waters are electrocuted? If the electricity is carried through the water, how far will the electrical current spread?

I live in Connecticut, and it is ridiculously hot here. I'm sick of it, and I am ready for autumn, and most of all winter. I can't take this heat anymore, and the sun is horrible. What does everyone else think??
