Was it a circle around the sun, cause that happens a lot. Sometimes the top half is hard to see tho, so it looks like an upsidedown one!

Couldda been a phenomenon that rarely occurs. Like in Tennessee last year, there was a DOWN SPOT! A BLACK CLOUS funnelled DOWN, but DID NOT have the high winds, and hail associated with TORNADOES!!!

The only logical way a rainbow could become "Upside down" is if the precipitation was going backwards (ground to sky) and be visible to the human eye.. I have never seen this, but heard about it alot.

A full rainbow forms a circle but we usually only see the top of it. Its easier to see this effect when sun shines on a fog bank. You see a complete circle in front of you. From an airplane a rainbow makes a complete circle in the sky.
I would guess that it was still raining when you went outside but the sun was shining on the rain from behind you.

What do you mean?? Were the colors backwards? Was the arch not an arch?
If the colors were backwards (which actually happens a lot), That is because the first rainbow colors reflected again on more raindrops. This created a mirror, so you see the colors backwards.

Not too long ago, a photojournalist got the picture of a lifetime.
He took photos of a "round" rainbow. CNN caught wind of it,
and the picture made the headlines. So, your upside down
rainbow is real, but you could only see half of it. Neat huh !

Rainbows cannot be upsided down.. May I suggest cutting down on the mind altering drugs???

What do you mean by upside down........rainbow usually appears in circle or semi circle........depends which half you saw.

Quit trippin on acid or stand on your feet instead of your head and they will look right side up.
