Global warming is right. I don't know where you are, so i can't say specifically why it is more humid there. But, as air warms up it increases it's potential to hold more water vapor. thus, as it is warmer it collects more and more vapor (moisture), making you more and more uncomfortable. And as there is more water in the air mass, when it storms (air mass cools and vapor condenses to form raindrops) it will dump a larger amount of precipitation. Have fun sweatin' it out!
