A wire loop of radius 0.10 m lies so that an external magnetic field of magnitude 0.30 T is perpendicular to the loop. The field reverses its direction, and its magnitude changes to 0.10 T in 3.0 s. Find the magnitude of the average induced emf in the loop during this time.

a) What is the angular momentum of a figure skater spinning (with arms in close to her body) at 2.0 rev/s, assuming her to be a uniform cylinder with a height of 1.5 m, a radius of 12 cm, and a mass of 55 kg.
kg*m^2/s
(b) How much torque is required to slow her to a stop in 5.0 s, assuming she does not move her arms?
m*N

There is a special process, but I can remember the name, it's not a special Tap or die, it's not grinding and it's not "softening" the steel, It is a special and expensive process, and I belive the word electric o dielectric is in the name of this process although I'm not sure

Let's say a traveler flies around the world. Each time she passes through a time zone, it becomes one hour earlier. Finally, she goes 24 hours backwards in time. People like to say that she didn't travel back in time because when she arrives, everyone at the destination will tell the traveler it's actually a day later. But SHE thinks it's a day earlier. Won't the populus and the time traveler disagree about what day it is if the traveler actually DOES go back in time? Think about it...

The government has probably been doing this for years.

Why is that the gravitational force acting on a book (of mass 3 kg) which is raised 1m from the surface of the earth is the same as that of another of same but which is raised 10m from the surface of the earth? Isn't the force inversely proportional to the distance between the two objects? Or is 10m too small a difference to be noticeable in calculations?
