True-breeding tall red-flowered plants are crossed with dwarf white-flowered plants. The resulting F1 generation consists of all tall pink-flowered plants. assuming that height and flower color are each determined by a single gene locus, predict the results of an F1 cross of the TtRr plants. List the phenotypes and predicted ratios for the F2 generation.

2- if the bulbs is defective, what is the probability that it came from factory A?

3- if two bulbs are chosen at random, what is the probability that they are both from factory B, knowing that the first is defective while the second is satisfactory?

On some of the questions I have responded to I have seen a frightening level of scientific ignorance and claims made that have ZERO evidence. Do these people actually believe what they are saying? Do they understand that in REAL science you can't just make statements and claim that they are true unless you have EVIDENCE to back up your claims? Is anybody else as dismayed by this level of ignorance, which is sometimes WILLFUL ignorance? These questions usually involve the Big Bang or evolution, and claims are made that are just absurd... when will it end?

Some, if not all of us have heard of the big bang.. the event that started the whole universe. Well it is said that the 4 fundamental forces (gravity, electromagnetic force, weak and strong nuclear force) were once combined and joined w/ extreme heat, exploded, and thats how the universe was born. Well if this is true, shouldn't we be able to reenact this event? We have all these forces present on earth so isn't it possible that this could be done?

"There does seem to be a general agreement that evolution 'happened' and is 'happening', but no one seems to have a very clear idea as to exactly how evolution works. While reading these quotes, I think that many will get a sense that even those who are in the know and who ardently believe that evolution happens are still unclear about exactly how it happens. This is interesting because the general public has been led to believe that the very process of evolution is clearly understood by the scientific community."
