A glycosidic linkage is a particular functional group(the atoms responsible for the reaction properties of a molecule) on a carbohydrate, usually a sugar, that bonds with another carbohydrate.
Example: Glucose + Ethanol -> Ethyl Glucoside + Water (The bond results from a glycosidic linkage)
