I still have a long way to go before i can be a doctor, but i really wish to be a doctor in Singapore.
I've heard its very difficult to be a doctor here, and competition is very stiff.
Can anyone give me any information how i might increase my chances of being a doctor?

Also, what qualifications do i need?
What med schools would you recommend out there?
How much does a medicine course costs?

Thanks alot.

I don't have good enough health to give blood. So I was interested in knowing the cost of how much to find out what it is to know what your blood type is. How much did you have to pay? Cause I know that None or most likely none of the health insurances will cover that. , Thank you

don't have it you have to take coumadine the rest of your life or you get blood clots. Is there any thing else you can take for that?
Since taking coumadine or warfarin all your life has side effects.
What would be something natural you could do?

Looking at heredity and the fact that it has much barring on the passing down of chronic diseases and other ailments..Would
you have kids anyway? What if your family history had three or more diseases or chronic illnesses that your children could or would end up with?

Is it fair to the inocent ?

Odds were stacked up against me and my husband as well for that matter and now 3 out of 5 children so far have somewhat disabling
ailments..If I knew what I know now and watching my children struggle I am not so sure I would have had any children at all..
I have 2 very bitter teens that question our decision and I have to tell them I was ignorant as to how heredity plays a huge roll in how our makeup is to be... I feel disappointed and a little guilty!

A co-worker of mine just returned to work due to being off for gall bladder surgery. All is fine with him and he has the expected incisions and protection on them.

Question comes here... For some reason, he has a patch of leg hair shaved from about the top of his thigh (below his hip) to about the top of his knee (on the side, not the front of the leg). He says it is oval shaped and actually didn't notice it until after a few showers.

He is afraid to call the hospital to ask why (for fear of wasting their time) so I thought I'd inquire to a website like this.

Anyone have any ideas why his thigh would be shaved for gall badder surgery?

I read that stem cell research is "promising", but has anything been cured using this yet? It is talked about like it will cure everything, so I was wondering if there were any usable cures.
And why does the government need to invest in this? If this is so promising (and therefore would be profitable for the discovering company), why do we need to spend government money to fund it?

I have Plantar fasciitis and my doctor has told me I may need these shots to take the pain away. I am worried as when I read up on it I learned that the shots are painful.
If you have had them for the same complaint can you let me know how you were afterwards please. Many thanks in advance.
