It is 25 pole PCB mounted.
I need to find the manufacturer or distributor, or at least what it would be "officially" called.

Is it realistically possible to braze steel using a standard propane torch?

Have any of you brazed something like a bicycle or a bicycle trailer, that has to take a conciderable amount of abuse, using just a propane torch and the standard tip?

I have gotten metal red hot using just a propane torch and a standard tip (a tip that might be used to solder copper pipes together) , Whether that was hot enough to braze with is the question.

If propane is hot enough to braze with are there any tips you may have to reduce the amount of propane used and to strenghten the brazed area.

I have to come up with a project for one of my "project" classes. The project class deals with communications. I got the "okay" to do a wireless controller. The schematic is here: http://www.bpesolutions.com/gadgets.ws/gproject5.html#anchor123361

However, instead of A and B inputs, I would like to make a very basic motion sensitive controller (probably just detecting a left or right tilt).

Is the addition of motion detection possible for a hobbyist? Can you recommend resources for this (I tried looking but can't really find anything). Thanks!

Someone told me I need a positive voltage source to perform mesh analysis on this circuit:

http://img260.imageshack.us/img260/4665/deletemecircuituz9.jpg

Is this true?

I don't see how the voltages in the outer loop can add to 0.

I've solved this with nodal analysis but have not been able to with mesh analysis yet. The equations I've come up with are:

(both currents assumed clockwise)

i2 - i1 = Va/4
i2 = -1

I was thinking a Supermesh would provide the third equation I need but all I see from that is:

i1*2 + i2*3 = 0 but from the PSpice analysis I know this isn't going to lead to a solution.

Thanks

I need a way to light up some light bulbs without having a socket to plug something into. I remember building something to conduct electricity when I was younger but we used a very small light bulb. Is there any way I could light up regular size light bulbs??

Let me reword this. A 30,000 horizontally oriented gallon tank contains 5,000 gallons of anhydrous ammonia (NH3) at 70 F. 3,000 gallons of NH3 at -20 F is added to it. How long does the mixture take to return to 70 F?

The tank is 3/8" thick carbon steel.

The ambient room temperature is 70 F. Assume perfect mixing.

I tried this problem with a thermal resistance network and just got my temperature differences to cancel each other out.

I bought a second hand, mini sun bed to sustain a few bonsai trees, this winter, indoor. The sun bed has a build in transformer to power 6X40W fluorescent lamps, thus a 240W system (220V~50Hz). Unfortunately the UV-lamps do not emit the best spectrum needed for cultivation and growth. The lamps I need to replace the UV-lamps with, has to be 590mm in length, but the highest wattage, available in this length is 20W. I want to know if I am going to blow the 20W lamps if I replace the old 40W lamps. If so, why?
