Question asked is for an aplication of a cookin PAN Fabricated out of 304 Stainless Steel sheet 2 to 3 mm thick sheet material. To improve Thermal conduction it is desired to weld the bottom of the cooking PAN with 10 to 12 mm thick Mild Steel plate material. Operating Temperature may be in the region of 700 to 800 Degree Centigrade as the bottom of PAN is directly heated with gas fired burners. Please give valuable input for this application. THANKS.

They are according to ohms'law:
I have a kettle watt=2400w , resistance=25ohm:
I boiled it with voltage 240v ,I calculate from the 3 equations above & I get the current=10A.
If I boiled it with voltage =120v, accoding to P=VI ,Voltage is inversely propositional to current I=2400w/120v and I supposed to get 20A. But what I get by measuring the actual current is only about 4.8A.WHY???

Problem: A sky diver jumps from a helicopter and is falling straight down at 30 m/s when her parachute opens. From then on, her downward accelereation is approximately a = g - cv2, where g = 9.81 m/s2 and c is a constant. After an initial transient period, she descends at a nearly constant velocity of 5 m/s.
a) What is the value of c, and what are its SI units?
b) What maximum deceleration is the sky diver subjected to?
c) What is her downward velocity when she has fallen 2m from the point at which her parachute opens?
OK, I worked through part a by using the chain rule to get a = (dv/ds)(ds/dt) = v(dv/ds) = g - cv2. Then I separated variables, etc, integrated both sides…And eventually ended up with: s = [-ln(9.81 - cv2)] / 2c + d, Where d was the constant of integration. I took it to be so, which I assumed to be 0 (since the initial height wasn't otherwise specified). The only thing is, that landed me with 0 = [-ln(9.81 - 900c)] / 2c

this might cost a bit but like the man said you get what you pay for, space panels should be a thing of the past ! one solid part ,or even the whole shuttel if not just the bottom of the craft.

This battery... for the technical minded among you, it's an alkaline battery, 9 volt battery, it's the type with two connectors on top, a rectangular cuboid. Sorry I can't think of the term for this type of battery.

Anyway, I sustained a fall, and the battery was in my pocket, along with my mobile phone, on the side that hit the ground.

Pretty soon after, the battery became hotter and hotter until I had to take it out of my pocket. It was actually too hot to handle when I took it out. Out of the pocket, it is still hot, but not as hot as it was. Could anyone explain about the increased heat? was it the shock of the impact, OR the close contact with my mobile phone, battery type BL-5C?

Thanks.
