I would require a switch that works as follows:
The switch would be by default closed with another circuit A, but if the voltage at the pt where the switch is below say 5 volts, it will switch itself to circuit B. The moment circuit A has a voltage above 5V, it would switch it self back from A to B. What type of electronic switch that works as stated? And how do we connect it?

What do u think about Engineering Simulation Programs?

I know that its an aid for Engineering,Are there any disavantages in using them,i mean u loose any capability of imagining urself n analysing?

Can any-one tell names of some such programs other than MATLAB,PSPICE for Electrical n Electronics Engineering.

A weight of 6120 kg is lifted up to 100 cm vertically by hydraulic/human power within 20 minutes.Mechanically a generater 3000 rpm is managed to produce current when the jack is released. The weight converts in to kinetic torque, speed controled by the flow discharge of fluid. The equation are as follows. Roughly.
1 mm displacement/move body
1800 cycle rotation/rotor
36/sec time
or the weight travels/moves/displace 100 cm within 10 hrs
producing 1kw current. Is it possible/calculation correct or have to put more weight.Pls advice /in need of comment.
Continued...
The comment is poor.Translation ok/ who are in engineering.Secondly I know the way is lousy but its for poor persons. This is a concept.Yes power wears/dicreases during developing speed/.torque.but pls remember the equation we can develope or increase input power by both adding mass or wgt or multiply the power increasing hgt and decreasing the ratio of power gears.
I'm 100% confirm.It'll work.Please donot ignore.

My local motor mecahnic told me that my SUZUKI OBM's stator needs replacing. But when I ask for it at the dealers desk, they say they don't know the name "stator" but "ignition coil". I am afraid I might buy a wrong thing altogether!

a capacitor has the formula for its reactance as 1/(2*pie*frequency*capacitance).

according to this formula it blocks dc because dc has 0 frequency and allows ac because ac has some frequency.

but how does a capacitor physically perform this task, please reply.

Okay...For example, I'm talking to my mom on my cell phone at my house. At the time, my cell phone is using the tower nearest to my house. While I'm talking to her I leave and go 60 miles north east to Austin. How is it that you can keep an un-interrupted conversation eventhough you change so many towers?

Some cell phone towers alongside I-78 in NJ now have "windmills" on top. The diameter of the turbine is around 6 feet. They look much like the farm windmill generators in the 30-ties. With many blades. Not just the three as on modern day large scale wind turbines.

Questions:

1. Did I assume correctly, those are electrical generators? (Or are they possibly just "wind speed" and "weather conditions" measurement devices, operated by a company other than the cell phone operators?)

2. Why so many blades? I thought that was the issue with the old farm windmill generators, they were not as efficient.

3. Why windpower? I thought solar panels are the "in-thing". (Are solar panels in fact too expensive to install and service? Do they need bigger back-up batteries, since they do not work at night?)

I have been employed as an intern in a mid sized company, working with 10 engineers. So far, I have been working on manuals, CAD drawings, and basically documentation of equipment awaiting release.

What tips do you have that can help me become more involved with design projects particularly, or any kind of general tips? Thx.

btw. this is a mechanical/electrical engineering position and I have finished my first year. I am working full time right now.
