a&p license?

I am going to major in aerospace engineering(for spacecraft, not airplanes) and was wondering if an a&p license would allow more job opportunities or better pay

a hiring plus.

The more you can understand the systems, the better off you will be, pick up on new airplanes easier, and be safer.
